The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Guess I will leave.
Anyway did want to let you know, if you don't already, "New Line" has released a new Epiphany Poster to go with the other two from the first films. The info on it is as follows: LOTRPOSTER25 EXCLUSIVE The Return of the King Poster: Sam Carries Frodo up Mount Doom $19.95
Also when I was in my doctor's office this past week, I noticed in his "witness rack" (he is a Christian) a Christian track with a picture of Aragorn on it titled, "The Return Of The King; Why is Tolkien's Epic So Popular?" It is a great track. I think you can view it online at www.ichoosejesus.com. I have sent some out with good responses and plan to see if I can order some more.
Anyway thought I would pass this on and say "Hi".. . .so long.

Thanks for the info. BTW that reminds me I heard John Rhys-Davies will be appearing on the "Dennis Miller Show" soon. I'm not sure what night--it may be tonight--but if not, it's soon.

Are you working out tonight?
Looks like I have to postpone mine until after dinner... probably 7-ish. Don't let me slack!

It's kinda long and hard to follow...

I worked out. So I'm done until Wednesday, though I might take Fiona for a quick walk tomorrow if it isn't too cold.
The shoes are soooo much better! Unfortunately it didn't make the workout easy. Holy cow...if I feel the same way on Friday, I may be repeating this week. My calves were killing me on the last few jogging intervals.
To: Corin Stormhands
Don't spoil it for us! Some of us have only seen it four or five times!
To: RosieCotton
Sigh... that makes me feel so confident, you know...

My dinner won't be ready until late. Making that roast. And then I have music night...so I may have to just wait until I get back. Or skip again. But I've skipped too many already, I think.
Sigh. I'm several chapters into Doomsday Book now, and I don't REALLY wanna go ANYWHERE.

I've never done a pot roast on the stove top...
we put a chuck roast in the crockpot this mornin... we just got back from Springfield...
I'd use thyme and marjoram, garlic, onions... two tuh three cups of broth... half-cup of red wine or a can of beer...

Well, it's already started, but actually I used pretty close to what you suggested! Salt and pepper, thyme, garlic, onion, little paprika and some red wine. And broth. Smells good so far.
I've done 'em on the stove top before. OK, once. But it turned out pretty well. Just browned it, covered it, brought the liquid to a boil, then turned it down to a simmer for a coupla hours. Worked out fine.

Oh great. It's snowing again.
