The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I got a piece of pie. It's not very good. I need to eat it all myself so nobody will suffer from it.

Okay, I've had 2 pieces of pie now. Maybe it's not such a good idea that I decide to cook just for myself. I'm stuffed!

and it looks as though I'm the only one AGAIN to have any skepticism...everyone else is gung-ho. Our Parish is doing Small Faith groups for the season of Lent. SSQ wants to do one, but wonders if we can pick who we want in it. He doesn't want to be arguing with folks every time we get together! LOL!

I'm fixing to bake some chocolate chip cookies with the Ghiradelli chips! We're providing lunch for Joseph's Robotics Club tomorrow; 20 hungry teens and 10 adults! I got some sandwich fixins this afternoon. Got turkey, ham and salami, swiss, cheddar and American chesse. And I got three kinds of rolls and some white bread for the less adventurous. So I decided to bake some cookies for them. I bought some oreos in case folks don't like the chocolate chips. I'm also gonna bring a batch of Gumbo for the adults.
At the same time, I'm baking Clare's birthday cake. We decided to have her party tomorrow since it's vacation week and the girls can all sleep over. We missed having a party for her last year, so I didn't want it to slip by this year. Her birthday is a week from Monday.

If anyone wanted cake at any other time she always told 'em to bake it themselves.Heh, that's why my sister and I decided to learn to bake!

These people were slobs. We were checking out a piece of property last year. We didn't go with a realtor, just cruised by the place. Drove in a driveway of a house under construction next door and took a look at the rear of the property. There was a gully about 25 feet deep and there was so much junk in there it was sickening! There were bikes, bed frames, pieces of a car, mattresses. It was gross! Thankfully we didn't like the location anyway, but there's no way I would have bought that place!

Rose; don't know if you have seen any yet, but I got MICHIGAN quarters today in change, thought the Bear should know. :-)

Did you use a mix or a recipe from scratch? From scratch - Mom's recipe, which is just about pure butter...LOL
Good, though!
To: 2Jedismom
Oh, and it uses cocoa rather than chocolate squares.
