The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Sheesh! I wouldn't be suprised if you did find a body out there!

These people were slobs. This is just the latest in the crap we have found tossed out there. Marginal slobs would have made a junk pile. These lowlifes apparently started a new junk pile every time.

I have no optimism any more that there won't be more frap.... that is why we go out lookin every day for new stuff. I just hope the horses don't get hurt on what we ~don't~ find first.
To: HairOfTheDog
They were vey bizzare slobs! Where does one get such cable???
ARGH!! ARGHHH!!! I don't have any flour!

Thus far the horses have managed to avoid the stuff. We can keep praying that they have that horse sense to stay safe. *Somehow* they have managed to stay out of it this far. Maybe they do really know where the danger is.

They are fairly smart about watching their footing... If Bay sees something not right he stops and blows and won't go near... Arabs are like that. But the pony seems to have a curiousity about it. Some of the junk we have found, she has 'dug' up.
And this big cable is really safer than smaller wire that would bind around them if they stepped in it and pulled.

Once she gets it cleaned up though, it just looks like a lovely spread! The horses will really be fortunate. The fence just looks great!
I'm a bit of a fence officiando, I guess...I like fences.

Hair your hoses have some serious hard working angels watching over them between cables and barrels.
To: PurpleQ
I think ecurbh and I are those hard working angels...
We need a metal detector....

Sheesh! I wouldn't be suprised if you did find a body out there! That's just what I was thinkin'.
Has character though, doesn't it? If it weren't for the horses being in possible danger, it would be a great place to explore!

I'd love it if my bit of land was on an old settlement of some sort. What fun to rummage around looking for stuff with the Jedis!

It would be more interesting if it was a settlement from further back than 1985.
To: 2Jedismom

To: 2Jedismom; HairOfTheDog
If she keeps looking on her own property, she might find one THERE!
