The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

For Samantha's day.
I spent about 20 hours yesterday going through and filing in chronological order all photos from the last 15 years. There were lots of photos of furry 4 legged friends in those photos that are romping around somewhere with Samantha now. But, each photo was heartwarming with love. That's what matters now. :-)

Hair & WN; Thanks very much, we really appreciate the kind words.
Wn; that may be a good idea, a collage of the furry ones that have shared our lives. We should do that.
Hair; hmm. Giget is a reclaimed gift? Sounds like there is a story there.:-)
Got the sweater on, will grab the knit hat and fingerless gloves and head downstairs, a bamboo backed osage blank is awaiting.

Many thanks for the sending that thing, Osage, it was a tremendous help. Sorry to have kept it so long, though.
Hi everyone, just checking in briefly before going out with daughter.
Three degrees at the moment, outside.
Back later.

Giget is a reclaimed gift? Sounds like there is a story there.:-) Yeah - there is a long story.... maybe not a real good one!
Was a boyfriend I had... Getting him the dog was a test that was only partly foreseen as a test. I was prepared to keep her when I presented her to him, but I also knew if I was gonna keep the pup.... I wasn't gonna keep them both.

It's my parents' anniversary today. *Sniff*
Got the car washed and am waiting for the race.

I do think she came to the right place.... She was in pretty a desperate condition. I don't know where she came from and we didn't try to find out, only thing for sure... scrappin' was not working for her.

Interesting story there...
Ugh, I'm kind of under the weather today. Gotta go find some caffeine pronto..

I'm kinda figuring when Myranda makes it up here she'll straighten me out. And have a good laugh! When she does, write the dates on the backs of the pictures. I have to do that with all photos before the time of the date stamp on the picture. I know from looking at old photos with Mama (even before her Alzheimer's) that it's hard to remember dates of activities in pictures.

I have trouble remembering all my cousins' kids names.LOL! I've been gone from home for so long, that I even have nieces and nephews about whose names and ages I have to be reminded! I'm sure some of my cousins have kids that I don't even KNOW about! They always manage to have family reunions when I'm not able to be there. Hmmm, wonder if that means something! ;o)

Well, I FINALLY tracked down that site I told you about. I didn't bookmark it at the time (DUH!) Here it is:
http://theater.nifty.com/lotr/making.htm There is another site that I stumbled across while looking for that one that might have some interesting stuff (though some of it is the same footage, I think):
http://event.movies.yahoo.co.jp/theater/lotr3/special/ Thanks again for all the fun. I got home safe and sound this morning...didn't nod off even once! Stay dry down there!

Bummer. they are re-united, it's those left behind who fondly, but sadly, remember those special days. (((OT))) LSA

To: Penny1; All
Penny..... those links to those dailies are fascinating! Everyone should check those out!
To: Penny1
I especially like the wider environment shots where I can really look at the horse handling that doesn't show up on screen.
