The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Thank you it means alot to me. And I agree with you it is a demon. He is not my dad when he is drinking. He is someone else.
To: PurpleQ
Please be in prayer with me!You have my prayers. But if your father really wants help, he should check with his employer. Most have programs to quit, if the employee really wants it. He needs medical help, along with our prayers.

Did your Dad win his battle?
To: Sam Cree
Well, Fall is in full swing, damn live oak leaves are everywhere.I remember those days in Tallahassee. We never had 'Fall' in the Fall, it was always in Srping when the new buds would come in and force the leaves from the previous year off the tree. Same thing happens here with some of the trees; we saw a couple of oaks down by Lake Quinsagamond that still had leaves on em.

Hi there! Was working!
Amazingly I now have all my "this week" deadlines done. So, technically, if I didn't have the stupid video project I would be off work till the 18th!
Fuming.... I could have time off now....

I know he does need medical help. And he has a wonderful boss that was in the military with him and he knows my Dad's trials. He has known him forever, since I was a baby. He too fought that battle and won. And He has offered me Dad help. He just refuses to take it. I thank God that his boss is there for him. I just pray he will open him self up to the fact he can not do it alone.

Well, if he will go without legal "encouragement", I would hope he would. If he has good insurance, they may even cover a lot of it. I am thinking of a treatment program that starts off heavy (1-2 times a week) for six months or so, and then tapers off.
I know people that were forced into one of those programs, but ended up getting a lot of good out of it. Long enough to change habits and work out a new way to think.

Okay! Hug Schlohweiss! You know her very well.... since she was runnin' around in diapers!

Hey Peaches! You are an awesome amazing woman of prayer. We're talking about Dana's dad. Joe, not Wilburn.
