The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

OH, ouch! Tell me about it! Our furnace just died (in twenty degree temps here) and we had to have the entire duct system replaced because it was 25 years old and leaking like Violetta's lungs. It got to 50 degrees in the house on Friday - the Labrador, three Siamese cats, and all the humans were huddled together under multiple down comforters and quilts. But . . . it gets worse . . . my daughter was on a wilderness camping trip in Western North Carolina - it snowed and got down to about 10 degrees at night - there was ice on her sleeping bag INSIDE her tent . . .

There wasn't anything to see... they didn't really show anything on the TV, but they were talking about it. Then they had a super wide shot the whole field, and there was somebody doing some kind of riverdance in the middle of the field with no jammies on.
You couldn't even tell if it was a guy or a girl, though from thier reaction I'm guessing it was a guy.
I doesn't speak too well of their field and entry point security though.

I saw comments about Janet's little flash, but I didn't see it. Must've been typing.

Okay. I broke down. The game is on now.
I'd rather watch the game than the half-time and commercials anyway if I'm gonna watch. Nobody I care anything about in this though so not a lot of excitement can be worked up over it.

To: Corin Stormhands; All
I'll put Nana on our Parish Prayer list for a successful surgery and rehab.
I've got a prayer request for y'all, too. My cousin's wife died this morning after a LONG battle with cancer. Seems like she's been fighting it for over 5 years. Please keep her husband and kids in your prayers. All their kids are grown and gone from home, so Harvey will be on his own. He's a cool guy; was a one star general in the 3rd Armored Division during Desert Storm , then became some high muckety-muck in the Army in Germany a few years after that. When x42 and Her Heinous came to Berlin in the mid 90's, Harvey and Donna had to squire them around. They HATED it!
Also, if you'd keep in your prayers my big brother, Mike, who's having heart bypass surgery sometime this week. He was supposed to have it tomorrow, but his blood was too thin, so they delayed it to later in the week. I know they have stuff to thin the blood, cause I've been on it, but what do they have that can thicken it?

Yeah, Rose saw that... I figured before I could figure out how to make a jpg snapshot of it, he'd have half a million responses.

I'm usually pressed into singing the tenor part when the Festival Choir is doing rehearsals for Christmas and Easter. I only have to do it if there's only one tenor there. Mainly it's to let everyone hear their parts against the others. But then I have to go learn MY alto part after that. I don't read music, but I've gotten to where I can kinda figure out the notes that are coming up by looking at the intervals.
