I'm usually pressed into singing the tenor part when the Festival Choir is doing rehearsals for Christmas and Easter. I only have to do it if there's only one tenor there. Mainly it's to let everyone hear their parts against the others. But then I have to go learn MY alto part after that. I don't read music, but I've gotten to where I can kinda figure out the notes that are coming up by looking at the intervals.

I would be scared to death!
I'm scared enough even being able to READ the music! (of course I went in knowing none of the responsories or the mass setting . . . so I had a lot to learn in a short time.)
And I missed your earlier post - prayers for Harvey and Donna, and for big brother Mike. (It isn't routine when it's your ticker or somebody's that you love -- but bypass surgery is getting better and easier all the time.)
