The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Other than for putting a body in, I can't think of one. And it was empty! Toxic waste dumping? Has it been there a long time?
To: JenB
It's been a while.

Wasn't that picture taken at the ceremony to turn Hong Kong over to the Chinese....looks like kind of an expression thing. :)

Toxic waste dumping? Why bury it? empty?
Has it been there a long time?
Hard to say.... least 4 years. Since I have been here.

Are there enough unread posts for you to funkle on?

and have granted my claim more generously than I could've hoped... Well, that's a blessing, and I hope things get sped up along the way, for your sake!

It occurred to me that an upside-down (and open on the bottom) barrel with a hole in the top would make a fairly usable low-volume septic tank.
Someone could take the outlet hose from something like a camper or a camp trailer and not have to worry about dumping the tank.
To: HairOfTheDog
Do you know it's been there since you've been there? Or could it have been buried since you've been on the property?
My mind is conjuring loads of ideas. I like the idea that it's a stash best, and whatever it was already got retrieved. Maybe it was jewels and you'd find a diamond or two if you dug out all the dirt.

Strange place to do that.... strange for a residence to have a 55 gallon barrel of toxic waste to secretly find a dump site for.
To: ksen
Guess what I'm going to pick up at the realtor's office tomorrow?Woo Hoo! Silver Tuna tomorrow!
