The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Think it's time for me to go to bed now. Gotta go in to work tomorrow morning. Talk to ya later and we'll figure out Taquito Moot. Maybe Sunday would be good. I don't know how ya'lls church schedule is. We will pin this down in the next day or 2. Goodnight.

I made PE take some vitamin c before bed tonight. Elf-boy doesn't do medicine unless the doc sez he absolutely has to. I have finally convinced him at least to take chewables, but ugh, it is like wrestling an electric eel. The liquid stuff is a no starter. He throws it up at will.

I should get to bed too. I have been postponing going to sleep every night cuz I have been getting some heinous acid reflux these days.

On the flip side, I have been getting in some good night time reading! I am actually into the triple digit pages in the Silmarillion. Woohoo, took me long enough.

Got your knife in the mail. It's superb. Thanks.

My sentiments exactly. I use mine everyday for something. Several guys keep commenting "cant wait to get mine", but they understand the postal system here all too well. Thanks again everyone.

Sounds good to me, we arent going anywhere for a while, so take your time. I'll try to get some pics when we do it. It's hard to take pics on the unimproved roads here though. Steve

I figured that out in my second week of Basic in 1970. Even though it was the depths of Vietnam, the Drill Sergeant didn't hesitate to buy a Case 61048 pocketknife for me (I paid in advance) when I asked. I carried it for about 20 years, until I realized it had such sentimental value that I didn't want to lose it. I've been auditioning other knives since then.

Why not take credit cards?

Mornin' Rose.

Our business really isn't big enough to justify the discount that credit card companies charge. But it's mostly a time management thing. Right now all the financial stuff is falling in my lap as well. I just don't have time to pursue it.

We are considering however, hiring a part-time bookkeeper.

RE: Lil'freeper's father

Sad news...

Lil's father passed away yesterday morning prior to sunrise. It became apparent the day after he was moved to the hospice that he would not last long, and that was a blessing. His family were able to say goodbye and be with him during his final hours. We thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. When Lil gets back I am sure she will fill you all in with more details. Again, thank you all and God Bless.
