The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Oops! I just realized I might have confused you about the Sean Bean movies. Equilibrium is set in a future not unlike 1984. He was actually offered the small part because someone on the set had seen LoTR and liked him a lot in it. This person wasn't sure he'd do it, but they asked and he did. The series about the British Rifleman is the Sharpe series, about which Rose posted and showed the DVDs.

Well, I saw "Die Hard" last night on tv, for the first timeOne of my all time favorite movies. I am a sucker for action flicks! Alan Rickman is great as the Euro-terrorist!
To: Rose in RoseBear
Ah, mo' bettah! You got that right!! They wore the green uniforms because they went out on the picket line, and could hide in tress and bushes effectively; they were snipers, essentially!
To: Sam Cree
Oh yeah, 5th Element or something.Another fun movie. Also starred Ian Holm!

Sean Bean looked goodI didn't realize he was in the movie Troy! What part does he play?

Woo Hoo, Super funkle! Got back about an hour ago from collecting David at the airport in Providence. Nice to have him home for the week. Paul comes home for Spring Break the week after next.

Good morning! Happy monday. It's an RDO for me (regular day off)- so I'm going to do all the errands today. I meant to get some DIY stuff done this weekend... and I did, sort of. My projects were all indoors but the lovely weather lured me out and I started work on some outdoor projects instead. And got sunburned in the process.
Oh and my crocuses are blooming, the daffydils are up and the tulips are poking out of the ground. SPRING IS HERE!
I'm such a happy camper. :)

We have snow, and it's monday. I've got to leave in three minutes and I don't wanna. My alarm went off in the middle of the night and so I'm in a really bad mood.

Oh! Matthew sang 4 more songs for his choir teacher last night (he has to sing 11 total you know, to get the gold star in his hymnal). That makes 7! He sang:
Jesus Paid it All
Lord, I Want to be a Christian
How Majestic is Thy Name
I Stand Amazed in the Presence
Just the first line and the chorus...

The chapters on fellowship that you will be reading are just FANTASTIC. Esp. the ones about how Christians should support the family in times of need. Very very timely with this little boy who has Leukemia...our church is just really rallying around them, which makes me so proud...it's a big church, but things like this don't get lost in it...

Good morning. Snowing here...we got a dusting on Sunday morning, but looks like we may get a few inches today.
Tax cuts didn't help me. I still owe. Can't figure that out. I thought they just did something wrong at my last job, and I'd probably get it straightened out here, but noooo. And I checked and rechecked my numbers half a dozen times.
Just another thing to add to the list of bills-I-can't-pay, I guess.
Gonna be drafting an ad for my guitar today, looks like. Pray that I can accept this...and get the wording right. It's the nicest thing I've ever owned and has a lot of memories connected with it, so I'm tearing up just thinking of doing this, but I gotta.
