The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

We have daffodils blooming, and some other bulb that has purple flowers. Guess it is time to start planting bluebonnets, too.

I'm thinking about getting some lettuce and other rabbit food planted today. Wonder if it's too early for that stuff here.

I seriesly can't recall being attracted to anyone other than Steve (Mel Gibson doesn't count) in the last 16 years at least...we dated off and on for 4 years before we got married and I even dated other guys during that 4 years and found them to be boring! Ha! Not very many people that know Steve find him all that "thrilling" I guess, but I do and always have. Must be some kind of Dwarvish/Rohirrim chemistry! Ha ha!!

Does Steve show you the same courtesy with not being alone with other women?

Actually, that's kinda what got this all started! Steve was working for a sod farm and was working late one night when he came in and told me about a conversation he'd had with the female receptionist...the only other person in the office. I didn't like that nonetall...not because I didn't trust him, but because I didn't know or trust HER! She could have made any number of claims against him.

So we made an agreement then, I guess Matthew was a year old. Never to allow ourselves to be in compromising positions.

It's very comfortable for me. I like it!

I must not have made myself all that clear...attracted for me just means I thought he was real cute (Mel cute)...not any serious kind of attraction...Nad was the same for me...I was seeing other guys too during the first year of our relationship but knew all along that he was the one...just had to convince him. :-) Took 3 more years, but I twisted his arm...can't believe that was 16 years ago...wow.
He sang in my ear when I met him (Every Breath You Take) and I was hooked. *swoon*

LOL!!! Yep, when Steve FINALLY asked me to marry him, I swear I was thinking "I'm moving to Alaska." I swear! He broke me out of my Alaska revere to ask me to marry him! LOL

OH!! I was sitting here trying to think of someone that I ever thought was good-looking...I mean, off the top of my head I couldn't think of anyone! But then I remembered the guy at the feed store when I was ordering the Buff Orpingtons!! Blue-eyed country boy, you know? Dressed in casual country-style mens clothing, I figure he was maybe 21-25 years old...but he was dressed very very nice, like he took some effort, you know? He was a mix of very healthy, handsome and spiffy. Black hair, and SHOCKING blue eyes. On top of it all, he was VERY courteous...very professional and spoke to me respectfully.

The whole package was very appealing and I think I even mentioned here on the thread how impressed I was with the fella.

I even told Steve that he made an impression on me...most young people don't (excepting those that dwell here in the Hole, of course.)

I remember thinking "Boy, I hope my jedis turn out something like this!"

Just from my description, Wneighbor was ready to come up here and make her introduction to him! LOL!!

I'm feeding baby and then it's time to do a little housework. We have some good friends who will be here in 2 days...they have 2 boys, are headed to Okinawa for a 3 year tour, and have just started homeschooling. I can't wait to see Tara (she is the most Godly woman I know...knows God's word like her address) the kids are looking forward to playing with the boys...it's been about a year since we've seen them.

Yep, I have about 20 minutes till the guys get home, so I'm having my breakfast, then I'm going to start my laundry that's been piling up because of the storms. It'll take all day, but the rest of the house is good. 'Sides, I like hanging the laundry and watching it flap in the breeze while we are in the backyard...just makes me feel content!

Silly, I know...

Speaking of getting drunk, I've just read somewhere that in ROTK Aragorn sings at his coronation. Yikes! Viggo singing? First he thinks he's everyone's political advisor, now he's Elvish Presley...

Argh..... Why are you talking about RoTK as some unknown and mysterious thing? Why haven't you seen it?
