The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Morning, sleepyheads! *grin*
Praise the Lord that none of our HH family were injured last night. He is so good!!
I've got a "to do" list a mile long, so let me put a dent in it and see if I can come back later on.

Ooh...that IS cool! I imagine typing on it would be very weird at first...no tactile feedback. But the idea is really interesting!I'm trying to figure out if it would be better or worse for someone with carpal tunnel.

JWs just came by again. What are they thinking? Two men coming to my door? Like I'm just gonna pop the door open and talk to TWO MEN alone here with my jedis.
God help 'em if Steve ever catches them...

JW's used to stop by my grandma's house all the time. She just liked having someone to talk to while she was stuck at home (her illness forced her to retire).
I think it is funny, because, no matter what they might have told her, she was an extremely set in her ways Baptist. LOL.

My padlocked front gate may not foil a serious intruder, but it least it foils JW's and Trick-or-Treaters!

Steve and I have (a possibly archaic) belief that I should never be alone with another male, except my family members of course (not his, however). We believe that I should never be in the presence of another man without there being a "crowd" around. It's worked great and I have never found myself in an awkward situation that I couldn't get out of.
These guys that come knocking on my door have no IDEA how strict we are when it comes to what we consider inappropriate interaction between a woman and an unrelated man.
We're not the only ones...
Steve's best friend Andrew came by and dropped off our Christmas present while Steve was at the store. I met him on the sidewalk, took the gift and chatted very briefly on the sidewalk, then went back into the house knowing that I was not expected to invite him in.
It makes for a very comfortable relationship between me and other men.
Funny to think I'm more old-fashioned than your grandma (and probably mine!)

Bob's brother Ray died last week. Kay just called and told me last night. I met Ray once.-As intense, or even more intense to be around than Bob. Since he was a judge, I knew there would be news stories. I tried to find a complete article, can you believe the Yakima paper charges $2.95 to see stories? (

I'm trying to figure out if it would be better or worse for someone with carpal tunnel. Hm...I'm not sure! Might possibly let you put your hands in a more natural position...but maybe not.
I'd still like to play around with one. Not enough to buy one in order to try it...but it'd be cool to test one out.
