Steve and I have (a possibly archaic) belief that I should never be alone with another male, except my family members of course (not his, however). We believe that I should never be in the presence of another man without there being a "crowd" around. It's worked great and I have never found myself in an awkward situation that I couldn't get out of.
These guys that come knocking on my door have no IDEA how strict we are when it comes to what we consider inappropriate interaction between a woman and an unrelated man.
We're not the only ones...
Steve's best friend Andrew came by and dropped off our Christmas present while Steve was at the store. I met him on the sidewalk, took the gift and chatted very briefly on the sidewalk, then went back into the house knowing that I was not expected to invite him in.
It makes for a very comfortable relationship between me and other men.
Funny to think I'm more old-fashioned than your grandma (and probably mine!)

Steve and I have (a possibly archaic) belief I feel the same way and try real hard not to ever be alone with other men...also I told G'nad that if I ever find myself even slightly attracted to another guy, I let him know...had to do that once...the guy was a brit with a sexy accent. :-) That was about 9 years ago. Was never alone with him, just got a real uncomfortable vibe from him. *blush*
Does Steve show you the same courtesy with not being alone with other women?
