The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Right past the Toaster.
To: Overtaxed
Indeed, you are right. Anyone look behind the toaster?
To: Overtaxed
That turret thing looks directly over the kitchen window. If it passes through anywhere near there, it isn't a full staircase the width of that turret. Maybe a little hole with a ladder. I kinda wonder if it isn't just an architectural element that sits on the roof and doesn't have access.
To: HairOfTheDog
I've worked on Country Clubs where the only way into a feature like this, and attic access, was through the window.
To: HairOfTheDog
It's got kewl windows though. Guess we'll have to go back to check it out!

I kinda wonder if it isn't just an architectural element that sits on the roof and doesn't have access. you are correct... the turret is fer looks only... no way to access it from below... I checked it out... I wuz lookin' fer a good snipin' hide...

Who on earth's FAVORITE PART would be the standing ovation for Sean Penn?
I didn't even notice they stood.
To: HairOfTheDog
I didn't even notice they stood.I don't remember that at all. Must have been in the poll creator's fevered imagination!
RoTK's sweep WAS record setting! Though we tied with Titanic and Ben Hur for the 11 Oscars, it was the most Oscars ever won in a SWEEP! Aparently the most earned previously was by Gigi, and it won all 9 Oscars for which it had been nominated! Woo Hoo!
