But someday, I just know. It'll happen.

Yes and when you least expect it. Marvelous about those eggs- what wonderful lessons your boys are learning!

Wow! That's BEEEEUtiful. So long as we can go inside a nice warm house to get rid of the chill!

And now I'm off to experiment in the kitchen: have some more beans cooking. Anasazi beans this time, might try some more chilli later. Am concocting a peanut butter-coconut-chocolate drop cookie that is promising. Made with coconut oil. Wierd stuff, it is.

Mrs. says that was Mary Louise Parker. Said somebody at her table bet her $1,000 that she wouldn't say that.

I don't know this person. And I'd be hard pressed not to say that if somebody was in a betting mode. But, still there's a time and a place and I hope some kernel of judgement woulda risen up and I mighta resisted saying it in front of the whole country on TV!!!

They're hollywood people, right? So they have no sense of dignity anyway.

They were saying we might get a light dusting of snow here today. I don't want it.

It was warm enough to be barefoot in my bathrobe when I took Smeagol out this morning. Then I went to the doctor's for lab stuff and by the time I got home it's right nippy out there. And Smeagol for some stupid reason doesn't want to come back in the house! I know she has to be COLD!

I've got chores to do too...feed the chickens before it starts snowing...make sure they have plenty of water. Normally this is Matthew's chore, but I have a full-body insulated coverall. They were my mom's...though I have no idea what she has with a pair of them, she never goes outside in chilly weather!

Good Morning... now I wish I'd stuck with more of the show, but I just couldn't take it. Sounds like a cute line.

300: In re the radios... that sounds like a great thing. I've used the ones that Motorola makes, and also ICOM. Both are very high quality. They have several channels. Only problem is they are kinda spendy, like over $100/pair. That cuts down how many sets we can send.

I also wonder how the command reacts to them? Not much in the way of security there. No encryption or such. Though, I guess unsecure comms are better than no comms at all.

:-(

Well, try to have a good day. I'll manage with more leftover fajitas in the fridge I guess.

I gotta go in to work early today too and try to start catching up on the last 2 weeks! But, I gotta get some caffeine in me first!

Only reason I could take that show last night was I was sick and couldn't move from the chair... willpower of a slug. It was really, really bad.

That's what I suspect! We found this house we're in now the day it went on the market...I was on my way to look at another house and I passed this one...they had just put the sign out. Didn't like the house I went to see, so I was driving home and looked at this one again. Thought, "Nothing ventured, nothing gained!" and I pulled into the driveway, got out, knocked on the door. I apologized for bothering the lady, but "May I ask what you're asking for your house?" "69,000" she said and I just gasped! I dashed down to the store down the street and called Steve, said "Bring your work phone!"

He met me at the store and we drove back to the house, called the realtor and WAITED till he arrived and showed us the house. By then, my parents had showed up! LOL

Well, it was small...but very tidy and clean. On a quarter acre. We put down the downpayment right then, because in the meantime 3 other people had called about the house!

The day we moved in, Matthew was really sick with a stomach ailment...I had loads of things being hauled over by Steve and my parents and I did nothing but hold Matthew (who had just turned 4) in my arms on the floor. I sat in the floor, holding that sick boy, worried by oh so happy to be in our OWN home!

so long as it's understood that "manners" aren't feminine"

Does that mean that females don't have manners? Or is it feminists?

G'mornin!

*sip*

My handheld HAM radio is an ICOM. I like it a lot. Bought it used the week I got my license and it's been a great radio. They make good stuff.

Don't they know that we're bored by Queer Eye and Company by now?

Apparently the Hollywood Foreign Press likes them. Look for them to sweep the Emmy and Tony awards as well, just before the low ratings and crappy audience attendance shuts them down!

Manners and courtesy are for both genders!!!

Of course since feminists seem to be trying to be genderless - that could explain their manners.... or lack thereof...

Yah... Icom is top notch. They made our handhelds for boarding ops in the CG. Really took a beating.

I wonder if they or Motorola make a digital model... that would be more secure than one that's totally in the clear.

lOL! It's funny, but I came in just after LOTR won one of the music awards, and saw Howard at the end of his speech. I was confused when I turned back to the station a few minutes later and saw him still there. I couldn't figure out why it had taken so long for the speech after the award. Later, when Hair told me it had won Best Song AND Best Score and that he'd been backstage when the second was won, I understood.

We kept switching back and forth cause we were watching Elijah in Deep Impact. ;o)

You're probably right... those guys are probably the weirdest of the weird, as far as Hollywood goes.
