Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

FORMAL EDICT!!!!!!
There never has been and never will be any chopped-liver in the Hobbit Hole.
This is strictly filet mignon country.

Jen,
*All* qualifications are negotiable, dear. Just trust me on this. Everything depends on what is brought to the table, and that is a useless thing to try to predict, and more to the point it will always be something you do not expect.
Not that I know for sure. Just guessing.

Well, not all points are negotiable. I won't marry a non-Christian, though the flavor isn't as important... I've seen too many mixed marriages for that. And a couple of the others would be nice...

You're doing it wrong! It's "snap, click!"

*snick!* *ow!* snick!*Ugh...that gave me a coughing fit!
It does take practice. But it's NICE, isn't it?

You barely made it past the opening credits!Well, we were givin' each other foot-massages too... and we kinda put each other to sleep!

I didn't realize just how addictive *snap* *clicking* could be. We better hope the feds don't find out or there'll be a law passed.
My dog is looking at me funny and yipping at me when I *snap* and *click* on the couch. I think she's intimidated.

True, and a comforting thought, as Gandalf says. But not comforting enough on cold winter nights when the walls of my bower seem to shrink, a hutch to cage some wild thing...

I didn't realize just how addictive *snap* *clicking* could be. We better hope the feds don't find out or there'll be a law passed. So far no one at work has asked what I'm *snap* *clicking* under my desk. I THINK that's a good thing, but maybe they're just afraid to ask...

*All* qualifications are negotiable, dear. Just trust me on this. Everything depends on what is brought to the table, and that is a useless thing to try to predict, and more to the point it will always be something you do not expect. Seems to me too many people have unrealistic expectations about the other individual. One of the biggest challenges in a relationship is to learn to expect the unexpected and to adapt to growth and change in one another. People often complain that their partner "changed." Well, gees, we're all going to change in some way or we're not growing. Relationships between people have to grow as well. But, that growth has to encompass not only itself, but the growth in each individual. Only thing that should not change is committment. Once you are committed it oughtta not stop.
For me, I think qualifications are that this concept is understood. Otherwise, you're headed for disaster.
Not that I've actually managed this successfully of course. But, I've given it my best.

*wistful sigh*
Well folks, Alyson is fussing and Becky's still not home, so I'm gonna take advantage and try to get the baby to bed before 10:30.
See you all in the morning after I try to score some Clay Aiken tickets. I promised Becky that I would take her to see him in concert the next time he came to town and he'll be here on February 28th with Kelly Clarkson. Wish me luck!
