Volcanoes may have choked Earth, helped dinosaurs

Low oxygen levels could have triggered two giant extinctions hundreds of millions of years ago, allowing the dinosaurs to reign supreme over the ancestors of mammals, U.S. researchers said.

Dinosaurs first appeared during a long period of low oxygen and therefore developed highly efficient breathing mechanisms that allowed them to thrive while many other species became extinct.

You might want to see where you're being led, there is a cliff there. You really don't want to go over it too, do you?

You obviously aren't familiar with the difference between the Catholic and non-Catholic bibles. In addition, God NEVER revealed the billions and billions of facts you need to know to survive and get the enjoyment you deserve out of this incredible gift of life in those few books you do consider his entire revelation. Quit confusing what was revealed about salvation with what was revealed about ___ (fill in the blank: math, science, history, ...)

You have substantially oversimpified the content of the "extra texts" as opposed to the "Inspired books". They weren't created during the reformation, they weren't commonly read for the first time during the reformation, so don't think their canonization was simply a kneejerk reaction to reformation. Maccabees deserves more time than you think it's worth as history alone, as well as insight into the development of a belief in justice after death vs justice on earth.

You also ignore the human element involved in identifying the "Inspired books" in the first place. But face the truth: God has never belched a book out of the heavens - people have captured the lessons of history and authored them at different times and different places, and people have canonized your "Inspired" books in the same manor the "extra" ones were.

You're righteously reject research into things of this world as a waste of time if they don't interest you. If they don't interest you, then leave us who are interested alone.

You only accept God's word, but you accept someone's opinion of where to find those words and ignore God's interaction with man through history and nature? Nice philosophy. I surrender to your superior worldview and apoligize for ever participating in research that actually lessons human suffering but wasn't based on texts that were never meant to be used as the basis of science anyway.
