A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.
The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?
The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.
Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.
DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.
Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.
Now's your chance. Ask your relatives living in California, especially those near the LA basin, to name three municipalities, within 20 miles of the City of Los Angeles boundries, that they wouldn't loose any sleep over if these cities slid into the Pacific Ocean of Nov 17.
You might be surprised.
(They should do a minimum of homework before making this stuff up. They would fool more people.)
Yes, let's take credit.
Are you nuts??
The Islamic Information Center of Seattle shows up. They used to have a website but took it down a few years ago. When we talk to them we believe them to be jihadists, because they tell us things that are outrageous.
They tell us that the Jews were responsible for the WTC on 9-11 ( and pentagon too, one would assume), for example, and they try to tell us that we are all being run by the Jews in this country. That Mohammed never had a child bride or pillaged, that everything you see on TV is lies and the media is run by... guess who?
That's all I can think of offhand for right now. I think you get the picture. The booths have televisions with movies running in them - Mecca usually. They have tons and tons of pamphlets on a table. They wear funny clothing, white dress-like things to the floor, and they never, never smile. I don't let my kids talk to them.
"The Jews rule the Pentagon with remote control".
That's exactly the kind of stuff they come up with at the booths.
We have those too. Lots of goat breeders and a slaughter house which I think is out by Little Somali.
BUT, have you been out showing goats at the fairs? That's where they always want me to convert. :-)
Davis' last day in politics.
"One day after Fort Lewis bid farewell to about 4,000 soldiers who'd transformed their unit into the Army's first Stryker brigade, more than 3,200 members of the Washington National Guard's 81st Armor Brigade were preparing for life as active-duty soldiers. The Stryker brigade leaves for Iraq this week, with the 81st to follow early next year.
Letters formally announcing the call-up for the 81st will arrive in mailboxes in the coming days. Officials have begun sessions to inform families of resources, both financial and emotional, available to them throughout the mobilization and deployment."
And I am pretty sure it is not just Fort Lewis sending troops, but at least one other base as well. You have to remember that out here the military is everywhere.
That said I will say I don't like deploying our National Guard. Not one bit.
