Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Yeah. I just posted that because I fell for all the alarmist talk about it. I've been finding more sites around that have the same idea though. I didn't know anything about naturoath though. Still, it's true there are so many possibilities regarding bio-terror. What I'm curious about though, is does al-Qaeda have the ability to store and produce such weapons?

May I ask how long ago this was? I'm just curious if we have had middle easterners attending American flight schools for a long time or is this a relatively new thing (since the early 90's).

There may have been no need for US SOF teams to violate Iranian airspace, if we think about it. There have been reported tons of materiel delivered into Iran after the Bam earthquake. There has been reported some cooperation between US and Iranian cadres.

I know that a lot of the LDS stored gas for Y2K, there was a lot of talk about it.

I too will stay in place, too old to run and am in a safe enough spot, except for the escaping folks from other areas.

If people are smart, they won't leave home, unless they have someplace to go.

Don't forget the Plastic drop cloths and Duct tape, that will be needed, possibly it will help in sealing out the drafts, that will show up, when there is no heat.

You do know that your frozen food won't keep long, unless you have a lot of gas for the generator.

At least you will have friends and neighbors that are of a type to help you survive. In 1991, I almost moved to Cedar City, wish that I had done so.

Twice, I have used up the stored food, once a sick husband who didn't work for 2 years, and then when I got sick, so yes it is valuable.

Just being contrarian, but consider the number of attacks, overseas and at home, and I would assert we didn't quite ignore the threat, but never raised it to a high enough priority to be acted upon effectively. No real strategy, in other words, apart from treating terror as a crime, as Bush said the other night.

Such a rumor is about 6 months old! It keeps getting rehashed. For months on the web, there has been a photo of gun toting American forces walking behind a figure that appears to be bin laden. Even madeline "not-too-bright-to-have-served-with-clintoon" made a snide comment about it (the possible capture, not the picture) in recent weeks after the bagging of saddam, as if perhaps this was true and GWB was waiting to inform the public a little bit closer to the election. But what do I know, maybe it is true. I just do not think so at this point.
