Many young arabic men were going to school there

May I ask how long ago this was? I'm just curious if we have had middle easterners attending American flight schools for a long time or is this a relatively new thing (since the early 90's).

My ex attended that flight school in the late 80's, probably around '87 or '88. The middle eastern guys stayed to themselves. My ex had two middle eastern roommates for a short time. We never saw them. They rarely stayed there. One of the most bizarre things about them was that they didn't use toilet paper! They think it doesn't get you clean enough. I always took some with me when I visited, just in case!
