Bill Gates Commits $1 Billion to Ensure AI Is a ‘Great Equalizer’ Between Rich and Poor

Bill Gates has announced that the Gates Foundation will spend at least $1 billion over the next two years to widen access to AI, warning that without intervention, Artifical intelligence could deepen global inequality rather than ease it.

Bloomberg reports that Bill Gates, the Microsoft co-founder and leftist billionaire, laid out the pledge in a report that frames the coming months as decisive for how AI reshapes the world. “AI, if shaped well, could expand who has access to solutions, opportunities, and knowledge that has too often been out of reach,” Gates wrote.

Gates says the money will fund AI tools built for education, healthcare and agriculture. Part of the pledge will also go toward folding non-English language sources into the large datasets that power AI systems, an effort meant to help developers building tools outside of English-speaking markets.

Gates framed the timing as urgent. “The decisions made in the next 12 to 18 months, about how AI is built, funded, and deployed, will determine whether this technology primarily benefits the people who already have the most or reaches those who have the least,” he wrote. Elsewhere in the report he put it more bluntly: “AI could be a great equalizer, or widen the gap.” The choice, he added, is immediate rather than theoretical: “This is not a long-range prediction. It’s a present-tense choice.”

The report picks up themes Gates raised in an August essay, where he urged tech companies and regulators to confront the risks AI poses to humanity, a considerable U-turn for the tech evangelist. Tech entrepreneurs Sam Altman and Dario Amodei have issued similar warnings recently, leading to critics accusing the industry of a choreographed move to protect their business models.

Wait, is this the Babylon Bee? No???

Yeah, Bill, "great equalizer". Everybody equally stupid. Or equally dead. Or both.

He’s a child of privilege, a eugenics supporter, an MRNA booster and now, all of a sudden, he’s for the serfs.

Whenever Bill Gates opens his mouth, you should have a plan to do the opposite of what he instructs.

Bill, your involvement at the beginning of the micro-computer age does not in any way make you an expert about the world. I hope your realize that.

Regarding the gap between rich and poor, there are many factors to be considered. In totalitarian societies - like ALL Communist nations and some Socialist (ie Communism wannabes) nations there is a forced inequality - as people can't climb any socioeconomic ladder based upon their efforts, creativity, ambitions, etc. They can only raise themselves up by being part of the ruling totalitarian bureaucracy.

America, on the other hand, is a nation that has allowed people the greatest degree of personal freedom and self-determinism as has ever existed in written history. You, for example, have become one of the richest men in the world because you had the opportunity to use your ambition and creativity to develop a micro-computer operating system - that fortunately for you IBM didn't have the foresight to retain intellectual property rights over. You might not have come from ‘rags’, but what you did is a bit of an American ‘rags to riches’ story. You should be thankful, and should be one of the biggest advocates of the American system.

The gap between rich and poor in America is currently the result of many factors, and not all of them are at play with the same people and the same groups. There is a big gap in ambition, willingness to sacrifice, willingness to delay gratification, willingness to work very, very hard, etc. among the American populace. Admittedly, some of that gap is attributable to the circumstances in which people grew up (e.g. families that encouraged hard work and sacrifice vs those who neglected their children's development; effects of sickness, being raised in a dangerous neighborhood vs nurturing environments, etc.). But it's not the entire explanation. If you are unwilling to admit that personal choices have a huge effect on outcomes in life - then you won't understand.

um, Google Gemini is pretty much free to use, unless you REALLY use it hard.

And wait, his beloved Microsoft charges for Copilot unless you pay for an Office subscription.

NEvermind the open source AIs you can download if ya just LEARN how to use them.

"...“AI, if shaped well, could expand who has access to solutions, opportunities, and knowledge that has too often been out of reach,” Gates wrote..."

This is a dead giveaway, and confirms what Dan Bongino has often said about AI:

The Left is terrified of it because it might...tell the truth.

So, they have to "shape" it as the Leftist Gates says, to tell their "truth" not "the truth".

Very telling.

Why is it that I suspect that Gates is going provide $1 billion (or more) of Co-Pilot access rather than real money, so he can build a customer base AND paint himself as philanthropic at the same time?

First, the “commitment” isn’t a current payment of cash. Its strung out or after he dies or in some form that isn’t really $1 billion in cash. He gets the publicity juice of saying he’s giving $1 billion without doing it.

Second, the commitment probably includes R&D spending on his for-profit businesses that he is generously interpreting as equalizing the rich and poor. Another PR stunt.

Always lies.

This money will be used to fund candidates who will vote for controls on AI so that only globalist leftist thought is permitted and all powerful use cases are restricted to government control mechanisms and Tech Bros megalomania.

Bill Gates, while no doubt still longing for the halcyon days of frolicking about on Epstein Island has now set his attention toward AI to perform the “Image of the Beast” surveillance state global monitoring role, running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for anti-Christ to rise up over the Earth.

Check out his quantum dot tattoo solution:
https://news.rice.edu/news/2019/quantum-dot-tattoos-hold-vaccination-record

Gates is pleased to serve his father Satan, to offer up a Digital ID/Vax ID Mark of the Beast combo, with a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) pathway provided to the poor, needy and hungry of the world.

Meanwhile, the Marxist Communist WEF will digitally tokenize onto the blockchain ALL assets globally, including rainwater and the very air we breathe.

Owning nothing = global joy and happiness for anti-Christ.

It is interesting that intelligence is not on your list.

With an IQ of 80 an individual is burnt toast.

Ignoring that reality is a key to becoming a leftist.

Even worse if AI is smarter than humans every human will get to learn that lesson—the hard way.

Communism doesn’t, can’t and never will work. It was always just a tool of the elite to consolidate power and eliminate the middle class.

The more things change...
