I don’t disagree with you, especially as I just finished touring college campuses with my second-youngest daughter who pretty much grew up stateside (I trained US military) and was/is dead set on college in the USA after her IDF service.
We had to eliminate a number of schools where she was accepted just because of that issue.
That said, the “Joo-hater lite” keyboard commandos are all over the Internet: notably Reddit and even here on FR. They’re dead set on spreading lies, like:
Jews aren’t really Jews.
Jews run everything.
Israel is a European colony.
Israel is committing genocide.
Israel is an apartheid state.
Israel is persecuting Christians.
Etc.
