Resurfaced tweets from Cea Weaver, who was appointed by Zohran Mamdani as director for the newly revitalized Mayor’s Office to Protect Tenants, shows the tenant organizer and housing advocate comparing homeownership to "a weapon of white supremacy."
In a post published in August 2019 on the social media platform then known as Twitter, Weaver wrote: "Private property including and kind of ESPECIALLY homeownership is a weapon of white supremacy masquerading as ‘wealth building’ public policy."
The post was shared by the MAGA X account "Libs of TikTok," known for its scalding commentary on left-wing politicians and liberal users on the platform. "Mamdani’s newly appointed tenant advocate director thinks home ownership and private property is white supremacy," the account wrote.
Weaver’s X profile is currently deactivated. Newsweek contacted Mamdani’s press office for comment by email on Monday morning.
Why It Matters
Weaver’s socialist politics likely align with that of freshly minted mayor Mamdani, who declared in his inauguration speech on January 1 that he will govern New York City as a democratic socialist.
In the lead-up to the mayoral election, Republicans had been portraying Mamdani as a communist, resurfacing old comments he had made about "seizing the means of production" to denounce him as a threat to New York. Mamdani’s team, however, responded that there was no mention of a similar policy in his campaign.

Cea Weaver is a disturbed, barren woman who typifies a subset of privlidged white childless women who have used socialism and leftist politics as a focus of their craziness. It is wrong to show them any respect or deference.
You know. Just because I see NYC collapsing from the stupidity of electing a Muslim Communist doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. I mean, what is just 2% of the Top income people leave and they lose 60% of Tax Money...it’s not the end of the city! At least the ideologues and liars that helped make this happen will remain in NYC and not flee, so they can enjoy the spoils of their victory. People Like Robert De Niro, who hated Trump so much they helped Mandami get elected. He will tough it out in NYC (because he is a real tough guy), and make sure he stands by his Rhetoric!!!
They get approval and warm hugs from men who share their ideology…like Mamdani…it possibly fills an emotional need

Its a bizarre and as of yet, unnamed, physiological and sociological phenomenon, but its so common, I am certain it exists
I see it among friends and relatives often. Childless (often husbandless, usually divorced) middle-class, often boomer, white women are full of liberal/woke rage against the white race. They may treat their individual white relatives or friends fine (most of those I know don't even have black/minority acquaintances), but focus this anger against the collective concept of the white race.
In the several examples I know, I notice a lot of anger against their fathers, which they then project on to society.
Marxist / woke Politics, education, feminism spread throughout society of the last 60 years, and definitely created this group psychosis.
Confiscating private property strikes at the heart of individualism. Communists believe that all wealth belongs to the state. Unfortunately the corrupt NYC court system is going to be rigged against landlords like it was against Trump.

so, me ;purchasing a very modest 5 acres spread 30 years ago that had a 1978 mobile home on the property for $80K in 1996, and paid off within 15 years at $500/month is somehow white supremacy? (This is Northern California BTW)
30 years later I am still living in that home, dodging wildfires and what not...white supremacy? We understood that we were not going to be rich, or well to do. But we could be comfortable... and purchsaed according to not only our budget at the time, but what it could be in the future. We are in the Outdoor Entertainnent Industry (Vendor’s at fairs and festivals) So with the up and downs of seasons, we knew what we could afford.
SRO’s I don’t know if they still exist in NYC. There used to be many, many such buildings that served a community of the downtrodden, both men and women. If needed, I can see either private, or public-private properties to house especially seniors, then others as the need arises. Take care ot American Seniors first, then American Others—
