no... it is because of the push away from coal and onto expensive wind and solar that is driving the price increases.

From Powerline:
But there is a broader point here that is more important. It is true that the cost of electricity has been rising steadily. The reason is the expenditure of many billions of dollars, perhaps into the trillions by now, that have been wasted on “green” energy, with the costs charged to ratepayers–i.e., all of us. The Democratic Party is responsible for those price increases. The Trump administration, which has turned its back on the Green New Deal, is doing everything possible to bring down the cost of electricity by promoting reliable, affordable power. For Democrats to blame the high cost of electricity on the Trump administration is a special kind of dishonesty.

The reason utilities bills are up is the climate change hoax which was brought on by Democrats like Klobuchar.

FYI Ms. Knoblicker

If you and you commie ilk hadn’t been trying ro shutdown every coal, gas, and nuke plant, to shove wind and solar power down our throats for the last 20 years, our powerbills wouldn’t be sky high!

Don't know.

I live in a "blue state" so there is a separate charge on my electric bill called: "for the public good" in which they take 30+ bucks a month to give to people that don't pay their electric bills.

So sure, my electricity bills are up. Because of COMMUNISM.

Hey Klobucher, utility rates are determined by he individual State regulators. I hope your stupidity is not a reflection of your constituent's intelligence.

True, and it’s not 100% his fault. But on January 21st, the first thing he did was walk out with Larry Ellison and announce full throated support for that horrific Stargate energy hog. AI is driving the increased cost of electricity.
Trump is 100% for it and wants as much as we can get of AI.

Energy prices aren’t totally his fault, but his hands are not clean.

It was your party, Amy, that inisted that "green renewable energy" replaced transditionl sources and that additional ifrateuctue expenditures has caused these problem ffor which you are now speaking about.

Electric cars, and especially busses, added to the problem & AI has really added to the problem. But they are not the only things impacting it. Making people get rid of natural gas energy use also played a role. Because now home & businesses are being outfilled with more electrical use.

Quit gaslighting that Trump is the reason for this situation.

The graph represents the average past due bill, not the cost of electricity.
If you are behind on your bills, of course the past-due balance is going to increase.
