Trump taught Republicans how to win

Chuck Schumer handed his head on a plate to President Trump last night as he surrendered on shutting down the government. After 40 days of slithering to the microphone each day with a new rant to an increasingly bored media about our favorite president, Chuck realized the futility of shutting down the government because all he did was anger the Democrat Party’s key constituent—welfare recipients—and leave helpless airline passengers stranded in city after city.

Trump meanwhile went about his life as usual, savoring every minute of his final presidency. He went to Asia and signed historic peace and trade agreements. He declared Columbus Day to be Columbus Day. He brought Big Pharma officials in to announce they are cutting prices. He golfed. He threw a big dinner at Mar-a-Lago. He paid the troops despite the shutdown.

Oh, and he kept putting sombreros on the head of Hakeem Jeffries in pictures and videos. Hakeem denounced the videos as racist and the media went out of its way to condemn it as deepfake.

Everyone else laughed and had a good time at the expense of the Dollar Store Obama.

Axios said, “President Trump and other Republican officials are spreading videos of Democrats wearing sombreros and handlebar mustaches on social media, prompting backlash from across the aisle.

“Why it matters: The references to Latino culture allude to Republican claims that Democrats shut down the government to fund health care fo

The Filibuster is stupid. It used to be that the party filibustering had to stand at the podium and speak until they fell over or died, and all other legislation was put on hold until they surrendered the podium. That was a real filibuster. Now they just require a 60 vote majority to move it forward.

The whole idea of a 60 vote requirement for voting on a bill is both stupid and anti-democratic.

That’s the good news.

The bad news is what happens to MAGA when Trump is no longer around?

Which is why we need to eliminate the filibuster. Voters are fickle. Once Trump is gone, they’ll forget all the positive changes he’s instituted if all he’s able to achieve is partial success. In order for his imprint on government to be long lasting, we need the radical overhaul of government that the filibuster prevents us from implementing.

Primarily I’m concerned about voter integrity issues (e.g. universal voter I.D., one day voting, universal paper ballots, etc.) and reforming the judiciary (i.e. dissolving most of the courts and reestablishing them with new, Constitutionalist judges). None of that is going to happen as long as the filibuster remains in place. And without that legislation in place when Trump leaves office, the left will resume their relentless march towards dismantling our Republic, with or without the filibuster in place, and we’ll have lost all of Trump’s gains in no time.

Maybe we’ll have one or two terms of J.D. Vance or Marco Rubio, but as talented as they are, they won’t be able to prevent the left from regaining the upper hand.

Trump taught Republicans how to win

No, Trump simply made it politically inviable for squishy RINOs to subvert the will of the voters.

Trump taught Republicans how to win; Republicans yawned and asked if they could go home now.

The bad news is that the loser RINOs want to lose. There is a fortune of good money for them being losers for their voters and the American Republic.

BS. That isn’t a losing move. The long term future hits reality in the 2026 mid-terms. We have to fix most of everything by then.

Problem is, they didn’t listen. The varmints in the Senate think they know better.

Well, they do excel at knowing how to lose and turn off voters.

Face it, Mike Pence thinks he is a viable option. 🙄

The filibuster needs to be gone. We need to take advantage of the majority and gain as much ground as possible. The democrats will do this every time until the GOP takes the total beating for allowing it.

Once the RATs get back in. They will immediately dump the filibuster.

I have to give Sen.John Thune some credit for holding his ground. Mitch McConnel would have caved to the Democrats

I don’t think so.

Trump is a 1:1,000.

It takes really big balls and really thick skin to be like Trump.

Most people would have crumbled under the scrutiny and pressure he was put under, having the MSM and social media, nearly all gang up on him while the government is spying on him and using the IC and law enforcement to go after him.

The fact that he’s independently wealthy gives him a huge degree of decision making freedom most other people just don’t have.

But I get the point and agree. Stand up for what you believe in and don’t be a pandering weakling apologizing for ones political, economic and moral convictions.

Like actually fighting back and not giving two $***s about what the enemy says about you? Not surprising it’s taken an ex-Democrat from Queens to teach that lesson. We’ll have to wait and see how well it’s inculcated.

Schumer is majority leader. Either he hand elected the 8 Dems who would cross over, or, they defied him. Either way he lost. He gained nothing by putting the country through this.
