LOL.
Senator Hashmi @SenatorHashmi ยท Follow On this Indigenous Peoples' Day, we celebrate & honor the Indigenous nations that have contributed so much to the history, cultures, & communities of the Commonwealth & country. We also recognize the ongoing need for reconciliation, healing, and partnership.
Sen. Ghazala Hashmi is the running mate of Abigail Spanberger, the Virginia Democrat who wants to be governor and refuses to condemn her colleague who wished death upon his Republican opponent and his opponent's "fascist" children.
Using typical far-left rhetoric, Hashmi is celebrating "Indigenous People" on the holiday that marks Christopher Columbus' historical journey to the Americas.
The juxtaposition of the two holidays is meant to deny honor to Columbus. Within the leftwing framework of history, Columbus was a "colonizer" who ultimately paved the way for the tribes and kingdoms of the Americas to be unjustly conquered and their land stolen.
Ironically, Hashmi herself is not native to America. She is a Muslim from India; she is therefore a "colonizer" herself who lives on "stolen land." The only reason she is here is because of men like Columbus.
Her claim to the land is far less valid than Europeans who have been living in the Americas for 500 years ... men who signed many land purchase contracts and treaties with the native tribes.
Yet she wants to be the one to lecture Virginians about their own history?
Down with Columbus ! Up with 2-Spirits !
Sheeeeeyit. American Indians should be grateful that Indian Indians didn’t colonize this land.
It’s past time for her to go back.
Maybe one of her brothers will rekindle a romance with her.
Such a bunch of scumbag dem candidates in VA. Sad what the state has become.
