As conservatives are still grappling with sorrow and scrambling for answers in the wake of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk’s assassination, FBI director Kash Patel has confirmed at least one such answer.
Patel announced on X that the FBI had helped local authorities apprehend a suspect they believe to be the mystery gunman who had shot and killed Kirk.
“The subject for the horrific shooting today that took the life of Charlie Kirk is now in custody,” Patel posted Wednesday evening. “Thank you to the local and state authorities in Utah for your partnership with @fbi.”

When I saw the video of the shooting my first thought was, “No ‘crack’, sounds like a pellet gun.” I assumed lousy sound reproduction.

Odds are the shooter won’t be around for very long.

A few reasons I don’t think it is a mini-14, and it is the ruger pellet gun.
Mini-14 stock is almost perfectly flat, the gun in the photo has a curved top like the pellet gun
No red Ruger logo on the mini-14, Ruger pellet has red logo like the one in the photo
It also matches the thin barrel and “SilencAir” that comes on the pellet gun.
I would expect that the shooter was paid a hefty amount in crypto.
