There is no plan to annex Canada
Nobody wants Canada’s problems.
I just want to make it clear in advance that I will only respond to reasoned and intelligent comments on this subject, and will ignore anyone repeating canards, maintaining the attitude towards them already expressed above. I don’t have time for idiots.
A crazy idea; the only two provinces worth considering as states are Alberta and Saskatchewan. The remaining eight would vote 80+ percent Democratic if admitted as states. Canada is a quasi-socialist country and most of the Canadians seem to prefer it that way.
We don’t want Canada. We want Alberta. They are younger, wealthier and harder working. The rest of Canada is old, sick or doesn’t speak English.
Totally untrue.
Yep, the writer is delirious as is anyone else who believes this crap.
And we sure don’t want their electoral votes.
But if we did, could we force Carney to live in Nunavut?
Annexation of Canada would open up a whole new can of worms with not just Ottawa, but London, Moscow, Beijing and every nation in the former British Commonwealth...........
Why would we want a country that is “Lib Heavy”...??
I think if Canadian’s are truly concerned about the US annexing Canada, they are smoking way too many ‘shrooms. Trump HAS made some ridiculous comments about Canada becoming the 51st state—but anyone with any sense should realize that will never happen.
I just don’t see the Indians (dot) who now rule Canada giving up their newfound power.
RE: My opinion is that there is indeed a real desire in corridors of power in Washington DC, a plan to annex Canada or force Canadian provinces one by one to choose the option of seeking statehood as their citizens come to the conclusion that Canada is incapable of meeting their economic basic needs.
There are things I BOTH agree and disagree with.
1. The majority of Americans including their representatives in Congress DO NOT WANT to annex any Canadian province. The sheer logistics, governmental structure, healthcare system, that both countries are familiar with are problematic.
2. I agree that there is a growing desire of Canadian provinces in the East ( Quebec ), and the west ( Alberta ) to secede from Canada. However, I am NOT certain if this trend still constitutes a majority of the residents of these provinces. Quebec almost succeeded years ago, but was thwarted by a few percentage points in a referendum. It could happen again.
3. Even if these provinces succeed in voting to separate, it does not necessarily follow that they would want to be American. They might want to form their own independent country.
We are in the beginning years of a Grand Solar Minimum, like the period in centuries past now referred to as the Little Ice Age.
We don’t want to be annexing Canada; they would want to be be moving south soon. They’ll be trying to anyway...
Has Every One Lost Their Minds ?
.
Of Course Trump Wants Canada!
/$
They got all pouty face about it so we quit allowing people at the war college to draw them up.
We have a plan to invade Vatican City and, possibly, the Magic Kingdom but not Canada.
Now if some of the provinces of Canada want to join us they can take steps to do so but admission is not guaranteed.
Carney’s an idiot and his voters even more idiotic. Canada = Another California. Oh, the dems would LOVE to have Canada.
I’m surprised that Carney doesn’t know that Puerto Rico is known as the unofficial 51st US state.
Not going to happen....move on...stop with the fake news cr**.
