You could see Martha Raddatz of ABC News shed even more tears than she did on Election Night 2016 when Trump won. That would be if following the upcoming meeting between President Trump and Putin (with possible cameo appearance by Zelinsky) the Ukraine War is concluded via a peace agreement. Check out this snarky ABC News report by Raddatz and you can can just smell the HOPIUM exuding from her with such lines as "No real sign this war is ending any time soon." Yeah, because an end of the Ukraine War as a result of the upcoming meeting would DESTROY poor TDS Martha Raddatz.

PING!
US Blinks, Withdraws Deadline, Offers Trump-Putin Meeting, Putin Says Yes But NO To Meeting Zelensky
-Alexander Mercouris
I hate to admit it but I was starting to lose faith in Trump and thought he was going neocon on us. But if he manages to pull this off all is forgiven (well mostly all lol). Trump is at the point now of either ending this thing or be forced to approve tens of billions in new military aid to Ukraine. Let’s get this thing done.
The HBM (Has Been Media) would rather see the killing continue than for peace monger Trump to be successful in ending it.
Wow, Trump better get this done, he can’t afford to lose you. The easiest position in football is armchair QB. Best President in our lifetime and on his way to best since Washington.
Well it’s hardly only me he’s gonna lose if he doesn’t stay on track with his campaign promises.
Yeah, he hasn’t done anything in your books.
I tried to tell you that President Trump is a Jacksonian. The BEST foriegn Policy
Palm branches in one hand, arrows in another.
Sure he’s done some very good things. But the 2 biggest issues with me were stopping endless wars and stopping open door immigration and deporting illegals. The other issues were insignificant compared to those 2. It’s only now that he seems serious about ending this proxy war against Russia.
What does that mean, “stopping endless wars”, and how does a president do that?
There’s been one war right after another none of which has benefitted the US. On the contrary these wars have put us into a dangerous economic situation with $37 trillion in unpayable debt. All of these wars were wars of empire and had nothing to do with our national security interests.
That didn’t answer anything.
What does that mean, “stopping endless wars”, and how does a president do that?
The President is commander in chief of the armed forces and has the power to stop any war that he wants.
What exactly would you have done to stop this war? Be specific.
A president is only president during the short time that he is president, he doesn’t rule the future of war.
I would have told Zelensky that this war was a mistake and the US was no longer in a position to continue financing it. Then if Zelensky balked at this I would tell him to talk to the EU about military assistance but that in any event the US was done. Doing this might not go over well with some people but it’s preferable to keeping this expensive and deadly war going. I’m not a fan of risking WW3 over Ukraine like some on here are.
That is exactly what Trump did and it didn’t work.
Thanks for the ping.
