Could Trump put SpaceX out of business? Will ruining Elon Musk save us "big money?"
Don't watch if you are a hard core 47 supporter, lest you be triggered.
Excerpt from the video transcript:
Elon Musk is on the verge of blowing upall of his companies that he's worked so hard to build with his latest feud with Donald Trump that continues to escalate with every new development with the big beautiful bill. Now that it's passed the Senate, it appears that Elon has temporarily quieted down a little bit on X.
But nevertheless, the situation remains very, very tense between the two men, and it's likely to escalate again when the bill returns to the House for more changes, for another vote. And I can't imagine that Elon isn't going to post more inflammatory statements like this one:
"Every member of Congress who campaigned on reducing government spending and then immediately voted for the biggest debt increase in history should hang their head in shame. They will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on earth".
That doesn't sound like a statement from somebody who's going to calm down anytime soon. And Trump is firing back. Number one talking openly about deporting Elon Musk, which is not an action without parallel, and he's making his own threats. For example, Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history by far.
And without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa. No more rocket launches, satellites, or electric car production, and our country would save a fortune. Perhaps you should have Doge take a good hard look at this big money to be saved.
But is all of this just bluster? What could Trump really do to Musk when it comes right down to it? And what kind of money would it actually save the US taxpayers? Well, the answer is he could do a lot to damage Elon Musk and SpaceX. And in so doing, he would utterly destroy America's dominance in space.
I swear, these two are playing 7th dimension chess against the left, who will NEVER figure it out.
About 95% of all low earth orbit launches are done by Space X. It would take years for the US government to develop significant launch capabilities to match that. And who is going to do it? Boeing?

Nope ULA [ Boeing ] is out of Atlas rockets and would have to make Centaur work somehow. By that time all the knowledge base would be lost, and the US space program [ civilian and military ] would only exist in history books and YT videos.
Trump is being more foolish than Elon? How so?
Elon is the one who has initiated both rounds of the feud.
Boeing is incapable of picking up the slack - which you would learn from watching the video. Any slack they and a few others could pick up would cost $$100s of millions more.
I have yet to see true kindness.

Has nothing to do with anything. Its about the future of America.
Trump’s relationships always end this way.
Elon is unstable. But to this point, he’s not proven to be terminally unstable. He usually sobers up before he can do permanent damage.
This is a tempest in a teapot. Trump will only do what is in America’s interest. Musk has been out of control for awhile now. He’s going to need to calm down and basically stop thinking he has a say in running the Country.
There was no threat. A little trash talk to balance Musks ridiculous attacks. Like you would tell a kid...calm down.
I agree. We can’t lose Space X. It’s the space company that actually can go to space.
Bears repeating ... ditto!
I’d much rather have their bromance back, please. This is not good.
HOW DID ALL THE LOANS MUSK PAID BACK IN FULL—EARLY—WITH ALL INTEREST BECOME SUBSIDIES???
IF I GET A MORTGAGE—BUY A HOUSE & PAY IT BACK-—IS THAT A SUBSIDY???
>> This vengeance feud must end for the good of the country.
It is in Musk’s power to end it. Or not.
I am sorry they are feuding, I respect and admire Musk, but he is forcing a choice and I choose President Trump.
>> I have yet to see true kindness.
What I see is an unbecoming facet of his autism. The same atypical force that helped his ascent to great success is now working to undo him. Join me in prayer for him.
>> Trump’s relationships always end this way.
Bullshit.
