The polls are in…
And, despite the MSM continuing to spout off a narrative about a brewing ‘MAGA civil war’ over President Trump’s strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, a new YouGov poll from CBS News shows something very different.
According to the poll’s results, an overwhelming majority of Republicans surveyed approve of the strikes — with an even higher percentage of MAGA Republicans approving!
Check it out:
InteractivePolls @IAPolls2022 CBS News Poll: Do you approve or disapprove of US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities?
Republicans 🟢 Approve: 85% (+70) 🔴 Disapprove: 15%
MAGA Republicans 🟢 Approve: 94% (+88) 🔴 Disapprove: 6%
This is huge.
What this poll is telling me is that nobody is jumping off the Trump train due to our president’s handling of Iran.
By and large, MAGA remains united, standing at President Trump’s side, as we always have.
Here are some more highlights from the CBS News report (which, keep in mind, was conducted prior to President Trump announcing the ceasefire between Israel and Iran):
As the public assesses the U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, at least three things are in play.
One, there’s a largely bipartisan view that any Iranian nuclear weapon would pose a threat to the U.S. Second, there are bipartisan concerns that the U.S. could get involved in a wider war with Iran. And third, there are differing perceptions of just how effective those strikes will ultimately prove to be.
Amid that, it is Republicans, including MAGA Republicans, who overwhelmingly back the airstrikes, and they comprise the bulk of those who do. For the rest of the public, however — and netting out to a majority overall — there is disapproval of those airstrikes and still-greater concern about a potential wider war…
Republicans show overwhelming confidence in the administration’s handling of the situation with Iran, which nets out to the nation being split on that overall…
Right now MAGA rank-and-file are no more concerned about a wider war than Republicans overall.
President Trump campaigned on the promise of no new, endless, ‘forever wars’ in the Middle East. That’s what MAGA was and is against. We don’t care about the pursuits of ‘regime change’ being pushed by neo-con warmongers the likes of Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz.
And, so far, President Trump has not only kept that promise, but he’s gone above and beyond in a way that no president had the genius to do before him.
His strikes on Iran were aimed at one goal: to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. They achieved that, very successfully I might add — without getting us into a long-term war.
That’s why so many Republicans and especially America-First MAGA patriots approve of the strikes.
To AOC, a ceasefire refers to anybody that observes a flame
Libert(contr)arians.............
And unfortunately, some folks here on FR still buy into it.
Splody heads incoming!!!

i wouldnt have been so quick on the ceasefire

Conservatives want a radical change, a return to traditional morality and constitutional government. Libertarians are not conservatives. They are more properly radical anti-governists.
One libertarian individual, for example said he was content for a young teen girl to support her drug habit through prostitution as long as there was no government official with the power to prevent it. Though she be enslaved to lust, to drugs, to alcohol, and though literally enslaved to her pimp and her dealer yet he called himself a “libertarian”.
The libertarians, like Rand Paul call themselves Republicans; and certain anti-Semites, like Candace Owen call themselves Republican, so the fake news media are treating criticisms from such as if it were Republican in-fighting. They previously tried calling the Rino resistance Republican in-fighting but that fell flat, so now they are trying to call this MAGA in-fighting.
President George Bush I had 90% support for Operation Desert Storm. Two years later he lost his job to an Arkansas personality disorder with a disco haircut.
“”This whole thing about “influencers” is really annoying. I am MAGA because those who believe in MAGA do what I want them to do.””
One could argue ... that every time we post an opinion that someone either agrees with or changes their opinion to agree with ours, makes “us” influencers. I can’t help that. I still have little to no respect for “influencers”...lol. And even less for those so easily influenced.
I think you should choose right over wrong, good over evil, and should be adult enough or intelligent enough to know the difference. Too many ignorant sheeple in a nation is a recipe for eventual destruction.
.....Two years later he lost his job to an Arkansas personality disorder with a gold-digging wife................
This former MAGA Independent supports the strikes on Iran, and wants Iran to lose its Ayatollah dictatorship!
Polls aren’t restricted to frequent internet commenters. Commenters are more likely to go their own way and be critical. The polled people and the larger MAGA community aren’t as likely to criticize or dissent as those with a big internet presence.
Also, much depends on when the poll was taken. After the attack a lot of people are breathing a sigh of relief and feeling grateful to the president. That doesn’t mean that they all approved of the attack beforehand.
Yeah but this choosing war to get peace when you claim to be for peace and not for war is too subtle for a lot of folks. The means, some would argue, e.g. war, do not justify the ends, peace. Yet you choose peace and what you get is endless war, unless you refuse to fight a war and then you find yourself subject to someone who will use you to engage in endless war. How does that make any sense /sarc
See, governments answer to taxpayers. Team spirit BS doesn’t go very far with me. I care only about results.
Your #18. I’ve often thought the same.
I present you CNN.
Yes, but why? Because he lied…not about Desert Storm, but about taxes…mostly that, but there were other dynamics, too, I’ll admit. But Bush Sr. Isn’t Trump.
“”Yeah but this choosing war to get peace when you claim to be for peace and not for war is too subtle for a lot of folks. “”
Right, but the not subtle part is... there will never really be “peace” until Jesus returns...at the very last battle.
Once you face the reality that we are up against, you realize that no human is capable of providing world peace, because humans are inherently flawed, prone to sin, war and violence and ... evil. No human man (or woman) can change that fact.
All we can do is hope to stave it off for a while. And yeah, reality sucks. That said, you still strive ‘for’ peace. But it will always be out of reach until the very end.
Bannon and Tucker are with the 5% and insulting the 95%.
Well, there’s Joe Rogan, for one.
