I find it astonishing it didn't win the Pulitzer.

I would have given 10:1 that there would be no way that would be given the Pulitzer.

An icon for the ages.
To have been fired upon, in malice, and rise defiantly. This is a defining moment in history.

If it were a Democrat presidential candidate (and eventual winner) doing the exact same thing in the exact same circumstances, it would have won the Pulitzer.

really...anybody truly surprised here?

Byron York might be one of the last people outside the MSM who actually GAF about Pulitzer Prizes.

Had it struck his head, the photographer hired to record the assassination would have receive the Pulitzer.
His timing for capturing the 'bullet in flight' photo would have had completely different content.
He brought the right equipment.
So how did he know to bring that high-speed camera?

I would have been astonished if it had won. It would have suggested there was an ounce of credibility in the Pulitzer committee.

That’s what TDS will do to you. It goes to show how petty the left is.
That’s not a big deal. The image is famous all on its own and will probably get more circulation now.

It’s certainly deserving of the Pulitzer, but I would never think that it would actually win.

It would have validated his fighting spirit; the swamp isn’t about to give him any credit.

The Pulitzer Prize has lost its luster.
As the Nobel Prize lost its shine for choosing two men who had no credibility and accomplishments.
Barack Obama and Al Gore were and still remain bereft of class or honor!
Shame on the Nobel Prize for their poor choices!

If didn’t find it astonishing ... they gave a Pulitzer to fake reporters for the fake Russian story. Fake begets fake.

The left does this, they promote quotes, famous people after their deaths, events, art and movies, historical figures that serve their narrative and just about or entirely disappear over time those that don’t.
Rush Limbaugh is being disappeared from history while George Carlin or Walter Cronkite is kept alive, JFK kept alive, heroic with youthful vigor, Nixon kept dark and sinister, while Reagan fades, Jackie Onassis kept regal, elegant and enchanting while Melania kept in sack cloths.

You and York are being silly. This is like being surprised that the Academy Awards didn’t pick “Sound of Freedom” for best picture.
It is a rigged system where only the Obamas and Gores win pulitzers for doing nothing to deserve them. You should know that by now. Nothing relating to Trump will ever win a media or art or science or peace award from the Commie Left. That should be obvious.
They could take a picture of green men from outter space in the oval office with Trump and the picture would be panned by the Left as undeserving of an award.
