Unless people go to prison for it, they’ll just implement their grift some other way.

President Donald Trump plans to sign a presidential memorandum on Thursday cracking down on foreign contributions in American elections
What weight does a presidential proclamation have in terms of law? We've seen how the federal judiciary continues to block Trump's EOs and his exercise of Executive Branch functions. Are there already laws regulating or prohibiting foreign contributions in US elections? If not, perhaps we can somehow, someway rouse Mike Johnson and John Thune from their hibernation to actually do their jobs and pass legislation with the majority Trump gave them?

Without Congress, all of this is temporary depending on elections. The administration is shuffling papers and making strong statements.

Here is a JusttheNews article, for those that don’t want to go to Politico:
(Notice it “raised concerns with Congress” who proceeded to do absolutely nothing.)
“Trump signs presidential memo targeting ActBlue foreign donation, fraud allegations”
https://justthenews.com/government/white-house/trump-sign-executive-order-targeting-actblue-foreign-donation-fraud
“The documents also show the platform began monitoring potential fraudulent donations from several foreign sources, including hundreds of donations from Brazil, Colombia, India, Iraq, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia, and other countries.
These fraudulent donations raised concerns among Members of Congress investigating ActBlue that the platform may have violated the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, which states persons who “knowingly accept a contribution made by one person in the name of another person’ may face criminal liability.” “
