Laura Loomer @LauraLoomer

Amid the Deep State’s efforts to fire @PeteHegseth as Defense Secretary, @GovRonDeSantis has pitched himself as a Replacement to be Defense Secretary.

If this happens, he would likely make his wife his replacement as acting Governor of Florida ahead of the 2026 Florida Gubernatorial election so that she would have an incumbent privilege. There has been a lot of speculation about making @CaseyDeSantis

Lieutenant Governor of Florida, but these discussions were happening at the same time @Pete Hegseth’s confirmation hearing was taking place, and Ron was lining up to be his replacement.

The position of Lieutenant Governor of Florida is currently vacant, after @FIUPresident Jeanette Nunez resigned in February to become the President of Florida International University.

I dont believe for ONE SECOND that Hegseth was stupid enough to have a signal chat with his wife and brother, or wife and mother whoever) and discuss what they were about to do in Yemen..

It's all based on an apocryphal NYT article about "four people with knowledge of the chat."

Classic Nancy Pelosi "Wrap-Up Smear."

  1. Demonize your political opponents by telling lies about them.
  2. Have the press report the lies as if they were true.
  3. Use the press reports as validation of your lies.

Nancy Pelosi says the wrap-up smear "tactic" is only used by Republicans, but Alinski 101 dictates that you always accuse your political enemy of what you are doing.

This sounds like pure speculation. Probably not worth spending 30 seconds on it.

Are we being gaslighted? The highest clearance beyond top secret is compartmental at the cabinet level and national security presidential level. We are talking real need to know stuff. No way a wife and journalists get this clearance let alone discussing this level of information on a Signal chat app.

The left via their compliant media will keep hammering the “classified info” and “chaos” narrative in hopes that Trump will eventually tell Hegseth to step down. The “wrap up” smear as Pelosi calls it.

Trump and Hegseth need to continue to ignore them. One denial is enough and then refuse to answer anymore questions on the issue.

The deep state wants war and Hegseth is in their way. Also, they are afraid Hegseth might look too deeply into the finances and where all the Ukraine money ended up landing. They certainly can’t have THAT happening, can they?

Of course DeSantis would pitch himself for the job. He’s a political whore who’d sell his mother down the river to be President.

“As if Loomer is a reliable source.”

She’s like National Enquirer. A little non-traditional, but does good investigations sometimes. Odd person, for sure.

(As if Loomer is a reliable source.)

Actually, Trump thinks she is. He fired six National Security Council officials after an extraordinary meeting in the Oval Office with her, who laid out a list of people she believed were disloyal to the president. He took her word. She’s been doing a lot of vetting of people Trump’s staff has been hiring.

DeSantis was a Navy Lawyer, not a fighting man.

True, he's no Andrew Jackson.  But he does have the stature and boldness of Napoleon.

Question: How many French soldiers returned from Napoleon's attack in the Russia campaign of 1812?

Of the original 600,000 troops, only about 20,000-30,000 returned. The vast majority were killed in combat, succumbed to the harsh conditions, or were captured.

I posted my comment above before reading the entire thread. I see you remember the “wrap up” smear as well.

That’s exactly what they are doing. The drip drip drip of accusations, all on the same subject; with Hegseth it is lack of security on defense discussions. None have facts to back up the accusations, or they twist what did happen to make it sound more ominous than it is, and before long the public perception is that Hegseth can’t keep quiet about security issues or allows people without clearances to listen in to group calls.

Remember when all the media insisted they had independently confirmed parts of the Steele dossier? They were all talking to the same lying source. I suspect that’s what is happening here with all the anonymous, independent sources. They all lead to one source and it is someone in the deep state such as Brennan, Nuland, Susan Rice, or Mary McCord.

"True, he's no Andrew Jackson. But he does have the stature and boldness of Napoleon."

Napoleon was arrogant and overzealous. He supported the French Revolution, using his military successes in the aftermath of the fall of the Monarchy for his own political advancement. He seized political power through a coup d’état, and declared himself Emperor of France in 1804.

His arrogance once again failed him when he invaded Russia, and ended up retreating. The French Senate declared him deposed. His own military advised him to abdicate in place of his son, which he reluctantly did, and he was sent to Elba. Once again his arrogance and ambition drove him to escape Elba. He rallied a new stand as Emperor, only to fail three months later at Waterloo, and ended up exiled to St. Helena, never seeing his homeland again. That's what his boldness and arrogance got him, and the people of France. Once Napoleon was out of the scene, France returned rule to the Bourbon Monarchy, which lasted to 1848 when France once again abolished the Monarchy.

Britain did the same thing. They fought a Civil War for 9 years to get rid of King Charles I and the Monarchy, only to bring the Monarchy back five years later when Oliver Cromwell died.

DeSantis is self-serving and arrogant like Napoleon. He took advantage of the RATS law fare against Trump to pursue his own political advancement. He showed himself for what he is during his campaign against President Trump...a political figure that will manipulate laws so they benefit him personally. If he was ever nominated for President, I wouldn't vote for him.

Trump would be dumb to consider this.

An embarassment. Tarrifs would fail immediately.

“”Pete Hegseth’s confirmation hearing was taking place, and Ron was lining up to be his replacement.””

His replacement for what - Fox and Friends? He didn’t have a POSITION in the government at the time of his confirmation hearing....Did the author mean IF Hegseth WAS NOT CONFIRMED? Then why not say so?

Wasn't the replacement of Hegseth with DeSantis also reported by the New York Times and NPR, based on “anonymous sources”? Is Laura Loomer recycling the story with a MAGA twist?
