Secretary of Defense Hegseth Welcomes Back Service Members Discharged for Refusing Jab-With Back Pay (Video)

Under Joe Biden, approximately 8,000 service members were discharged from the military for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine.

In January 2025, President Trump ordered a full reinstatement to any service member who was expelled from the armed forces due to the COVID vaccine mandate, restoring them to their former rank with full pay.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth joined Fox News to discuss efforts to welcome back these service members who were discarded and treated so badly by the Biden administration.

Hegseth stated, “We’re psyched. This is one of the made promises kept from President Trump. We have followed through at the Defense Department. If you are a person of conscience, a person of faith who believe that you shouldn’t have to take an experimental vaccine in order to serve in our military, we will apologize to you.”

Nice bs post. An experimental vax which history has shown to be crap. Blanket dismissal of pleas of conscience. They got boned. See you @ Nuremburg.

Was stationed with a guy who got kicked out in 1983 for failing a drug test. In 88 he was returned to service because his test was a false positive. He got back pay, 150 days of accrued leave, and 1 promotion. He told me the pay was offset from any and all money he made during those 5-years absent. In essence, he didn’t get very much monetarily since he was gainfully employed.

I’m wondering if the same will be applied. I noticed the wording was: “With full back pay.”

“Is requiring vaccination a lawful military order?”
It is, at least when I was in and on world wide mobility
status. I kept an extra duffle bag in my car. I was required
to ready to go anywhere in the world 24/7 with an hour or so notice. I filled up two Yellow UN shot records books.
Big difference, I was given proven, tested vaccinations,
not experimental stuff approved outside conventional practices.

A reply to this post of yours is in order. In 1991, I was FORCED to take an experimental vaccine. I then had gotten severely sick and I still suffer some issues today from it (found out years later it was the Anthrax vax).

Many service people had major reactions and I am of the firm belief this is the root cause of Gulf War Syndrome. In 1995 the Army had to recind their use, due to a law suit, without full consent of the person.

No one. Even US military should NEVER become human guinea pigs. Like another poster said to you...Nuremberg!

“ I was given proven, tested vaccinations, not experimental stuff approved outside conventional practices.”

I get that. But is the order to be vaccinated lawful, militarily, even if you are not being “…given proven, tested vaccinations,…”?

When I served, me and a couple other guys refused a vaccination. They held our paychecks until we took it.

That poster can’t answer, he is still looking in the basement for the civilian Jews he was ordered to shoot.

Shouldn’t be limited to only those things. Could add more: “I don’t wanna.” “It hasn’t been properly tested according to industry standards.” “Don’t tell me what to do.” “My body, my choice.”

It doesn't work like that in the military.   I am sure when I got my first flu shot in 1976 at a Group Commanders call, if I had told Colonel Joska that I didn't feel like taking the shot, my body, my choice, I would have been in Corrective Custody in a heartbeat.

The only question in this case was the unadvised order from the top down, not the right of each commander to give the order.

...why go back under their control?

Because the ones who carried out the orders are either gone or under the command of Hegseth and Trump. Couldn't happen again.

They were discharged because they chose to disobey a direct order in defiance of the UCMJ.

It's the opposite - the illegal diktat was given in violation of the UCMJ but none of those who gave it or enforced it have been charged.

I was in the military and saw unlawful orders called out and refused more often than civilians would believe. Some blew up in the face of the offender at the squadron level. Some went all the way up and ended O-6s careers.

Great news for those who had the courage to refuse illegal orders. For those of less courage, make sure that you document taking those shots and boosters. Ensure you have separate notarized copies of your medical records with the shots and boosters noted and copies of physicals included before the shots and boosters. You will need those records if you suffer any of the myriad of cancers, diseases, etc in the future with claims against the VA or DOD. Trust me ... only thing that saved me in the past.

Why would anybody get rid of any of their military records?   I separated from the USAF in 1981 and I have my rips in the same folder/binder from personnel right here in my desk.   How else would I have the Social Security Account Numbers of everyone who had orders processed at the same time as me, on every base I was stationed?

I always wondered about that...

It seems crazy that in six years in the USAF, I never heard of anyone receiving or refusing an unlawful order.   How could guys now, make that claim?

“It’s the opposite - the illegal diktat was given in violation of the UCMJ but none of those who gave it or enforced it have been charged.”

Since you have been in the military, then you should understand the difference between the military and civilian worlds. And you would already know the answer to that statement. It is not the duty of the military member to determine the lawfullness of an order from a superior unless it was proven to be a danger to members or priority A equipment. At the time the orders were given, there was no proof other than the media of danger or putting priority A property out of commission. Hence, no unlawful order.

And if you want to go after someone, you would have to go after the POTUS or the Sec. Of Def. They made the order. The rest just lawfully followed it. So they couldn’t be under article 92 actions.

It is not the duty of the military member to determine the lawfullness of an order from a superior...

It absolutely is the duty of the subordinate. An unlawful order is not to be given, and is not to be obeyed.

I witnessed it quite often. The most common ones were tied to funding or misuse of resources.

The transporters would face it often enough when someone wanted to move cargo without the proper inspection and documentation. That cargo was absolutely not going, no matter who gave the unlawful order and how many times they issued it.

There were multiple issues with commanders directing subordinates to fudge the status of resources and training reports. The subordinates absolutely called it out.

We had subordinates call out unlawful orders related to travel on government orders.

The Jim Jones Jab was unlawful through and through. Imagine, the country that held the Nuremberg trials was conducting experiments on humans in violation of it.

There was no waivers for those who already had COVID. Even General Washington didn't order the smallpox vaccine for soldiers who had already had smallpox. You saw how quickly that story disappeared from the propaganda media.

The manufacturers didn't release the contents of the shot. What exactly were the service members being ordered to take? An undefined solution with a brand name attached? They couldn't even define exactly what service members refused to take.

O M M O I R C O R N O I N C showed that the shots didn't work and they still kept the diktats in place. Even a simple vitamin, if it didn't work, would be clearly Fraud, Waste, and Abuse. In this case it was millions of dollars of government expense for something that was proven not to work and wasn't needed even if it did.

People should be sitting in Leavenworth for their roles in it.
