Putin Shows NO SIGN of Wanting Peace

Everybody knows that President Trump wants to broker a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine. But yesterday’s phone conversation between Trump and Putin appears to demonstrate that Vladimir is not serious about peace.

Putin kept Trump waiting over an hour, according to reports, as Putin was addressing the annual congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in Moscow before he laughed off a warning that he was leaving it late for his call to Trump.

During the call, Putin rejected Trump’s proposal for an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine, instead agreeing to a 30-day pause in attacks on energy and infrastructure. Yet, just hours after the call, Putin’s forces conducted an airstrike on the energy infrastructure of Slovyansk, a city of 100,000 people in the Donetsk region, according to local reports, leaving part of the city without electricity...

You must want to be a delusional dunmy like I just mentioned. I never said “NATO” troops. I said NATO.

We also know there was a color revolution spurred on by Victoria Nuland and US Dept of State in 2014 that installed a NATO friendly leader and removed a duly elected president.

Russia went in right after that and grabbed Crimea because Putin knew what was up.

You can’t rewrite what has been done and be believable.

Zelensky agreed to a ceasefire. Putin did not. Yet Zelensky, whose country was invaded by Russia, is declared by many here to be the warmonger who refuses to have peace.

Joseph Goebbels: “If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself.”

If I have to pick between the Euro weenies vs. the Russians allied with the North Koreans and Iranians, as it now stands, I’ll go with the Euro weenies every time.

This is just the first act of the Opera—The fat lady has yet to sing a single note. The elaborate stage is bring set Now. Putin is trying to gain as much land as possible—but, in the end there will be a lasting peace—of sorts. New wars are happening now. If the Yemenis get lucky and hit or sink a US carrier—the war will go south to Iran and no one will talk about Ukraine. I am glad that Russia doesn’t have a working carrier.

Well, duh. Putin has always murdered and destroyed to achieve his political goals. He is weak and knows no other way. Shoot his domestic opponent in the back (Nemtsov), blow up his airplane (Prigozhin), etc.

Yes, because stupid Ukraine did not learn from smart Mexico how to live with a much bigger neighbor.

Mexico never tried to join any military military pact against United States.

Result is Mexico infrastructure is not bombed out, and Mexican women have not been forced to flee the country and sell their bodies. Florida is full of Ukrainian women selling their bodies.

Trump is in a bad place? What planet are you living on. This is NOT TRUMPs WAR. he didn’t start it, he disn’t escalate it, he didn’t let it fester for 3+ years.

he may, however, help end it

The worst part is all this “Putin bad” nonsense. It has no bearing on anything but “feelings”, which is how liberals make decisions. NATO/Ukraine has been losing steadily since the start of this conflict and is weaker than ever now. Russia’s demise has been wrongly predicted since the beginning. Enough of these armchair warriors getting others killed for nothing. It’s over, Ukraine/NATO has lost and knows it, that’s why they are screaming for deal you fools.

Tie Mr. Z’s and Mr. P’s tails together and hand them over a clothesline. They are two peas in a pod.

Too much mind reading.

It’s generally wise to ignore and move on from any article that says in any sentence Zelensky thinks or Putin thinks.

The worst part is all this “Putin bad” nonsense.

*****************

If Putin were gone, the Russian establishment would just insert a Medvedev.

Their current Ukraine policy & strategy wouldn’t change at all.

This is NOT TRUMPs WAR.

It is NOT and it IS.

That is the PARADOX.

It's HIS war to deal with and get OUT of.

The bad place is he promised peace in a conflict between two enemies NEITHER of which wanted peace.

Trump mistakenly thought that Zelensky would welcome something that he himself could never do which was to bring the death and destruction to an end.

I'll repeat Trump must now navigate as graceful a withdrawal of support as possible which will not be easy although since we don't have troops or military assets on the ground it will be easier than leaving Saigon or Kabul which we should have never been in, in the first place.

“Europe wants war because they see primarily unexploited natural resources in Russia they want.”

No they don’t nobody wants war other than /Russia. Europe is acting the way they are because they feel threatened by Russia and for good reason. They have usually been down right pacifist. But now they know who is and who has always been the threat to their and our way of life and it is not Ukraine.

I think you’re right, UB, and always good to “see” you. Interesting markets these days, a little bobbing and weaving is working out for the time being.
