A FAIR tax would work. It takes care of the poor, yet raises money on items you desire, but can live without.

When did we become the party of ‘tax the rich’ over a fair tax. If you live here, you need to contribute.

It makes the most sense. Can you even imagine what the multitudes making less than $150,000 a year will do with thier tax savings?
Yep, and more people will be needed to provide those products and services.

I could go for a big flat tax as long as it only covers the stuff I already own, who’s with me, high five.

I made less in ‘24, but my taxes doubled. It was a chunk, enough to buy a decent used truck.
Any help from Trump would be welcome.

Can you say DEFERRED COMPENSATION?
To: Red Badger
So $150,000/year is right at the 10% mark of the US population. Actually 9.5%. So the Dems basically get what they have always said they wanted - taxing the top 10%...not sure how they argue against that...

Question: most of my income is from the sale of long-term investments in my retirement account. Is that $150K of gross income, or $150K of adjusted income? If the latter, then does that mean that long-term assets of under $300K profit sold during the year would clear the bar?

Thank you for referencing that article Red Badger.
"TRUMP WANTS NO TAXES FOR ANYONE MAKING LESS THAN $150,000 "
I presume that Trump's conditional "no taxes" is a stepping stone for getting rid of personal taxes, then hopeful making no taxes permanent by leading the states to repeal 16th Amendment (direct axes).

If we raise taxes on the rich maybe they will stop voting Democrat. If you lower taxes to none for the rest of us then they will [probably start voting Democrat.

This clearly illustrates just how much grift is going on. It must be staggering.
