So we've all seen the news about the tariff situation between America and Canada. Trump is threatening Canada with 25% tariffs, meanwhile Justin Trudeau is threatening this:

Needless to say, it's an interesting time to be a North American.
But now we've got some photos from a photographer up in Ontario, Canada, that are being interpreted as a sort of analogy of this U.S., Canada "trade war": A Canadian goose takes on a bald eagle.
Let's take a look:
First, the goose thinks it has a chance (which it technically does):

It is a painting.
Nah, just took a photo of one yesterday in Michigan. We see then all the time. They live here.
You went to school with the Philly mayor right? 😁
No. The text indicates they are photos, and if you look up the creator’s name, he’s a photographer.
Yep, agreed. The 4th one down is my fav.
Regardless of the text...
I have Canadian Geese coming to the pond behind my house all the time.
All they do is make a lot of noise and shit all over the place.
Ducks are much better behaved.
Well, get in touch with Mervyn Sequeira, and hash it out with him:

I prefer ducks over geese.
Hmmm...maybe I will.
Canook Goose.
My parents used to live right next to a lake. That was the home to.dozens to hundreds of Canadian geese. We used to feed them all the time, and it was quite entertaining. Once, I got a little too close to one of the chicks, and the mother got upset, and came up to me and bit me. I started laughing, because they don’t have teeth and don’t have a sharp beak. It felt like somebody was grabbing my hand between their thumb and four finger, somewhat half heartedly. I later ended up feeding the Mother Goose, and she seemed modified.
Regarding these pictures, they are quite amazing. One comment, which is really not political, is that in a contest between an eagle and a goose, a goose is always going to end up on the losing end. I may be quite strong and in amazing shape, given how far they fly, but they are not equipped for a fight.
Now, turning to politics, I can certainly understand the Canadians having pride in their nation, there’s not a thing wrong with that. However, in this tariff contest, they are not only in the wrong because they already very seriously tariff a lot of our products while we do not reciprocate, but if push comes to shove, the Canadian economy will suffer a whole lot more than the US economy will. This is honestly not a fight that we should have between friendly nations that our neighbors, but the tariffs must be evened out to some degree.
Geese are eagle food.
Don’t recommend the FAFO program.
Nothing like a good goose!
They are Canada geese. I suppose some of them might be Canadian, as well, but the only ones I’ve seen have been here in the States.
Depending on where you live in the US, the Canada Geese you see may be non-migrating and are basically American Canada Geese :-)
