Stop everyone! Just stop the negativity and do some research first. Trump is not handing these out to everyone that pays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He said they would be fully vetted before they are given the opportunity to buy one. A lot of these purchases are going to be large companies paying for top management to stay here while they open large manufacture plants maybe employing thousands of workers. Others would be rich people overseas that want to open up businesses in the United States. Again fully vetted, not everyone!

To those who are skeptical about the Gold Card Visa, there are a few important facts to keep in mind:
1. Not everyone with money can get this Gold Card status. They are vetted & if they are cleared by the government after background checks, then their application will be considered. If they are threat to the US in any way they will not be considered.
2. Not only they have to bring in money (based on existing laws & rules), they have to create jobs hiring, American citizens & legal residents.
3. They have to show continued success and that the jobs were sustained.
4. It will take anywhere from 7 to 10 years (sometimes longer if they have left the U.S. for long periods in between) before they become eligible to apply for naturalization. Only after they become naturalized citizens, they can legally vote.
5. The Gold Card will prompt growth, generates immediate money and reduces the number of meritless Green Cards and visas.
Below is the step by step process for those who are granted these Gold Cards. This is not a new program but it’s only emphasized and utilized by President Trump while other paths to citizenship will become limited and merit based.

I suspect that talent would have to be really unique, or maybe some Corporations addicted to foreign talent, might be responsible for helping Taxpayer pay down the debt, 5,000,000 at a time.
Multiply that 250K by 5 and the deficit is wiped out.
You read my mind. I am actually about 30 minutes into the video. I enjoy listening to Trump and hearing what he is doing. But the relevant part with the answer to the question was about 60 seconds about 25 minutes in.
I was using the math I heard on the video. I guess the multiple has to around 30 X 250K (Around 8 Million People) to wipe out the deficit,
