The Musk-Deranged and DOGE-Deranged media appear to have stumbled on a new genre of coverage: the horrendous fate that will befall Americans due to DOGE cuts across multiple federal agencies. Reaching a new height of absurdity, CBS’s Ian Lee leads viewers to infer that DOGE cuts will lead people to be eaten by bears.
Watch as Lee walks viewers to an empty ranger station at Shoshone National Forest in Wyoming:
.
.
LEE: I spoke with several senior Forest Service officials across the country, and they told me the future leadership of the agency has been wiped out, and it could take decades to recover. Another warned that some of these workers monitored bear populations and without them, there could be more encounters.

Every time there is a government blip, the MSM runs to the park service first.

Ha, I hadn’t made that connection but you’re right.
I love that Buffalo Bore stuff. In addition to the great terminal ballistics, it is the most accurate in my .454 Casull, my .460 Rowland and regular old .45LCs.
They seem to have developed some wonderful ‘non-cannister’ powders to keep pressures down but velocities up. I can come fairly close with my handloads, but they always seem to be able to get 100 to 200 FPS over my hottest loads with the same projectiles, with my loads showing over-pressure signs, but theirs show no signs at all. I’d pay a lot for a few pounds of whatever propellant they use.
I’ve noticed that a lot of Grizzlies have been picking up the Washington Post and Wall Street Journals around empty campsites. They’re all interested about how DOGE is going to free up theie food source.
I’ve been told a 40mm flare gun will do the trick. Set the bear on fire. That will give you more time to get away. If it doesn’t work, the recovery team will see the smoke and find your body.
Well, liberals would rather be in the wood with the bears anyways.

Can burn down a mobile recording music studio, too.
LOL! Oh man. Sorry to hear that.
I believe that Very pistols only go up to 37mm. Do you think I could get by with that?
The book I read, “Alaskan Bear Tales” which my sister never returned to me, said a 40mm but I believe anything that will set him/her on fire will probably work.
How much did US AID pay CBS?
Modern women won’t worry. Many say they are safer with bears than men. Lotsa posts on the internet.
ROLMAO! Thanks for the best laugh of the day!
The 357 has been proven enough more the once.
Grizzlies are not bullet proof.

I think there are close to 200 cases now.
“An off-duty Montana highway patrolman shot a charging black bear with the 180-grain .357 Outdoorsman load. The bullet broke the bear’s shoulder, shattered the hip, and exited”\
Are you able to provide documentation of this.
I am sure Dean Weingarten would like to add it to his data base.
Just about any load with a heavy for caliber bullet over 1000’s fps well do a fine job
I have seen black bears shoot side to side with a 44 315gr hard cast at 950fps.
"No, this time it's us, Boo boo, and I'm ready to pic-a-nic on some granola eating hikers."
A preacher was walking in the woods and heard a noise. He looked around and saw a bear getting ready to pounce. He prayed, “Lord, please let this be a Christian bear.” The man turned around and saw the bear praying, “Father, for this food we’re about to receive, we’re grateful.”
It's been awhile since I've been in Griz country, but if I ever go back, it will be with my Benelli M4 loaded with magnum slugs. Forget the small stuff.
