Female Pilot Rebecca Lobach’s Entire Social Media Scrubbed before Army Released Her Name – So What Are They Hiding?

On Saturday the US Army released the name of the pilot of the US Army Blackhawk helicopter that flew into a passenger jet landing at Reagan National Airport.

The crash was on Wednesday. The third pilot’s name, Rebecca Lobach, was finally released on Saturday, three days later.

All 64 passengers in the jet were killed. The three pilots in the Blackhawk helicopter also died in the explosive crash.

After withholding at the request of the family the name of the female pilot killed in the mid-air collision Wednesday night between an Army Black Hawk helicopter and a PSA/American Airlines passenger plane on final approach to Reagan National Airport near Washington, D.C., the Army issued a statement Saturday afternoon from her family identifying the pilot as 28-year-old Capt. Rebecca Lobach from Durham, N.C.

The other two soldiers killed in the crash previously identified by the Army are Staff Sgt. Ryan Austin O’Hara, 28, of Lilburn, Georgia, and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Loyd Eaves, 39, of Great Mills, Maryland.

Lobach was part of a three-man crew flying a training mission for “continuity of government” down the Potomac River when the collision occurred, killing all three crew members on the Black Hawk based at nearby Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and all 60 passengers and four crew members on the flight out of Wichita, Kansas.

Lobach, who had over 450 hours of flying experience, recently served as a military social aide at the Biden White House.

It took the US Army and Rebecca’s family three days to scrub her social media accounts. They really don’t want the public to know anything about this female pilot.

You are mistaken in thinking that two helicopter pilots (one of which is under instruction) are doing anything other than being laser focused on flying the aircraft during a night vision currency training mission in crowded airspace.

Typically, throughout the military community in DC, and there are many units, one can volunteer to serve as an aide or escort in ceremonies at the White House. It's probably a given or rite of passage to serve as an aide, likely "assisting" in one's career promotion track. <> freepersup <>

Whether she was gay or not has nothing to do with her skill as a co-pilot and while I know we need to push back against the “woke” bs, there is a time and place for it. It is clear at this point that:

• Air Traffic Control should not have granted visual separation to the helicopter pilot,
• separation of only 100 - 200 feet is not acceptable,
• the pilot had 500 hours which is barely competent and was on a check ride with her more experienced co-pilot,
• she should not have been flying in the final approach path of an international commercial airport (especially at night), and
• the Army should not have training routes that go through a commercial airport's takeoff and landing paths.

I disagree. Doing what you are trained for and following orders is the minimum. Too earn respect and especially Honor requires a higher degree of efficiency and outcome.

Interpersonal tension is known to interfere with concentration and judgment, but it doesn’t typically induce a normal person to become a mass murderer.
