Oregon Sent 60 Firetrucks to Help Los Angeles but...
X ^

Lars Ultra MAGA Larson @LarsLarsonShow

Those 60 engines sent yesterday to the Cali fires are not on the fire lines...yet.

https://opb.org/article/2025/01/08/oregon-sending-crews-help-battle-los-angeles-area-wildfires/

They've been ordered to submit to a DOT inspection in Sacramento that's scheduled for 4:30 pm today. If they clear the inspection, they'll THEN be able to drive 400 miles to Pacific Palisades.

Talk about "looking a gift horse in the mouth." Then, on the way home, they get inspected again, and if they get red tagged, it's "fix it before you can return." Does liberal stupidity know no bounds? (I'm still waiting for a return call from @OSFM to explain this nonsense)

Years ago, when they first came out, the communist-dominated Council of the City of Sebastopol (Sonoma County, CA) insisted the Fire Chief ditch his Ford Explorer and instead drive a Prius. He patiently explained why such a vehicle would be inappropriate, given the demands placed on emergency vehicles. The Council wouldn’t budge. The local Toyota dealer then actually wrote the communists a letter in which he detailed WHY a Prius was NOT a good choice. Made no difference. They knew better, and had a point to make, so a Prius it was. Chief quit. Incredible but true story. And here we have that insanity on full display again, with the guy in charge afraid to say, when someone pointed out that the regulations and/or policy would require DOT approval, “Yeah, thanks, but we’re not going be doing that.”

Is there a bureaucracy on the planet that’s more screwed up than CA? I wonder how many of those people burned out of their homes took the Green position to not clear the dead debris from the forest floor and let nature take its course. Nature doesn’t seem to be done yet in doing its thing, but I would if those Greenies have a different position now. My guess is they haven’t learned a thing...

It makes Florida look all the better. I can’t imagine what it would have been like if Florida had done something like this for all of the out of state utility and waste removal trucks and equipment that came in to assist with the clean up after Hurricane Ian.

If you think that’s bad, I have three words for you...

California Coastal Commission.

Homeowners on the oceanside of the PCH who are not in the know will be finding out about that one the hard way.

I would presume Newscum could waive that inspection...

Biden could order a bypass on it too.

Will CA even let them in if they aren’t EV’s?

++++++++

This is like being in an airplane that is going to crash and the passenger refuses to put on a parachute or life preserver because the OSHA inspection date is past due.

You Oregonians can’t help stop the pollution from from thousands of trees and homes burning because you might cause a tiny amount of pollution from your trucks. Brilliant!

In reality those Oregon trucks were probably sent for mutual aid duty to protect regions that local trucks are dispatched away from. The absolute geniuses in Sacramento are deliberately leaving these mutual aid districts at risk through these insane actions. In most parts of this country municipal and emergency vehicles are exempt.

I wouldn’t send a danged bit of aid - if California wants help, they can hire more help.

Of course, we know that they don’t want to put out the fires because they’re intending to do something different with the land that they’ve destroyed. Look for the state and its bidders (blackjack, etc.) to jump in and make lowball offers on all the properties in the area.

Didn’t Louisiana demand crews go through DEI training after Katrina before they could work in NO.

“Hard to feel sorry for these people who continually vote for the idiots that run the state.”

Might be the case if one believes elections aren’t rigged in the state. Can anyone be that gullible?
