New photos of ageing RINO Mitch McConnell being carted around in a wheelchair have become the symbol for the need for term limits.

McConnell was caught being pushed around in the wheelchair by a member of his staff after falling at the GOP luncheon on Tuesday.

The photo has promoted calls for McConnell’s resignation and term limits.

Here’s the photo:

“As useless as he is generally, he has been good on Judges.”

He is responsible for 2 of Trumps judges

He blocked a vote on Garland for almost a year and then pushed Amy Coney Barrett through in a few days.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Congressional term limits as a solution. I believe that in a representative government the people have the right to choose whomever they want for how long they want.

That said, I think that repealing the 17th amendment will be a term limit of sorts for the Senate because the legislatures can refuse to send someone back for non-compliance with the state's wishes. That is a much easier way to remove a Senator than hoping that the average low-information person votes them out of office.

The state legislators will be high-information voters in this case.

Our founding fathers were near genius in many things but they really blew it by not putting term limits in the constitution.

Love the name you’ve adopted. A great leader with an iron backbone. Where’d you get the clip?

The state legislators will be high-information voters in this case. Maybe we'd even go back to Lincoln-Douglas style debates to influence the state voters to choose the legislators who will vote for the Senator of their choice. Tie the voter to the legislator to the Senator to the Supreme Court.

Maybe we'd get better Senators who are focused on the state's agenda because the voters selected the state legislators who selected the Senators.

They just passed a law and overruled a veto in KY that removes the Governor’s right to appoint a replacement. A special election must be held. That evil prick Mitch will never leave, he will hang on with everything he has left.

"He blocked a vote on Garland for almost a year and then pushed Amy Coney Barrett through in a few days."

Which proves the old adage that even a corrupt, self-serving, mouldering old p.o.s. is right twice a day.

Wait, that's not it, is it?

Term limits are a poor solution because it’ll never happen.

You’d be asking lawmakers to effectively fire themselves....Capitol Hill is an ATM for too many politicians not to mention the power they wield.

The founding fathers were geniuses and built a more perfect union but term limits they missed.

But the constitution was written in a time people wanted to lead this country because they loved it........not everybody in DC feels that way now.

Thank you. I wonder which Republicans will pick the three the Gov. Beshear chooses from? State party or National?

It affects both sides equally but the left would hate it more. They live for government.

'I believe that in a representative government the people have the right to choose whomever they want for how long they want.'

I've been thinking about the issue for 40 years, and I always wind up agreeing with exactly what you wrote.

“then pushed Amy Coney Barrett through in a few days.”

Technically, I suppose that’s a win for us, and it could’ve been worse, but I pretty much hate that elitist snob who concocted a “diverse” family for career enhancement purposes.

I could be wrong, but she has rubbed me the wrong way since the first time I saw her.

Catholic Cardinals are not allowed to vote for pope once they reach age 80.

I suppose that’s a good enough number. Anyone 80 or above cannot run for election.

(I was going to say that anyone 80 or above cannot hold office, but Trump will be 82 when he’s at the end of his term. So I’m kinda stuck there.)
