Thanks Jim. It was gratifying to hear Charlie Kirk play Rush Limbaugh's bumper music today. Jim Robinson deserves the laurels of a victor as well, as a pioneer of the alternative information infrastructure that's doing this.

How influential is Free Republic yet unsung and never thanked? Hardly a week goes by not hearing what someone posted coming out of some TV talking head's mouth knowing they stole it from here - especially compared to that talker's usual stream of verbiage.

I remember hearing Rush talk about Freepers in a kind of dismissive way, but he would talk about the stories found on FR. I would look and the stories then wait for Rush’s show to get rolling and sure enough. He was a reader of FR and maybe was a contributor. No way to know.
