Not all States meet the Real ID requirement yet. You raise a very interesting question, maybe, just maybe this is one reason which I never thought about why some States are not meeting….. 🤔
I think such a check would help get dead Democrats off the voting rolls as well.
Dead people don’t get Real Ids in any great numbers.
“Each house shall be the judge of the elections, returns, and qualifications of its own members”
Constitution of the United States, Article I, Section 5
The Republican House of Representatives can adjudicate any matter which may present itself during a federal House candidate election, such as conducting a signature verification.
The Republican House might have special masters appointed by each state Republican party (and Democratic party if it wishes to participate) adjudicate (and validate) each in-person voter and each ballot that comes in by mail or is to be dropped into a drop box.
The adjudications would need to be done right then and there in most cases. That would require preparation.
Because they want non-citizens to vote, silly.
Real ID is a pain in the neck. I have to go get a replacement SS card because when I was six, my mom laminated it. The Commonwealth won’t accept it.
I don’t have a real id and won’t need one to fly. I have a passport card that fulfills the same purpose.
Because even though all the states have finally implemented RealID approved IDs it’s still “optional” in many of them. I do not have the RealID level driver’s license, at some point I’m sure I’ll upgrade, but it’s only necessary to board a plane, which I haven’t done in ages and don’t see on my horizon, so I haven’t gotten around to putting up with DMV. So with your plan I’d get kicked off the voter roles.
Because REAL and ENHANCED ID require a SS card and birth certificate. Illegals only have drivers licenses.
Call your state representative
The problem is with older voters who may not have their original documents after 7 decades, and moves across the country. They signed a document that testified they were citizens, and voted happily everafter, based on their testimony.
Not.
The surge of illegal aliens in the US has become a problem among the aged if they don’t know where their original birth certificate is stashed. The BC requirement today is a document issued and certified by the county you were born in. but how does that state verify you are who you are asking for?
It’s racist to look at IDs.
Personally, any jackass who can’t show the I.D. they show to cash a check, buy booze and smokes really has no business voting if they can’t show an I.D. at the polls to vote.
When I moved to AZ, I did not yet have a permanent address and accidentally left my GA driver’s license behind, so I could not get a Real ID. I have a passport, so I have no plans to get a Real ID as my DL doesn’t have to be renewed for years.
‘Cause it might work. DNC-controlled states do not want honesty. Or, umm, haven’t you noticed?
Noncitizens can get a valid drivers license, which is one of the accepted forms of identification for voter registration.
There’s no way to tell if they are American citizens or not.
Ot every one needs a real id so won’t get one even if they are a citzen. My very elderly mother will not be flying, let alone driving or buying a gun , but she will still be voting.
I have a feeling all Federal limits on non-RealID will be annulled as discriminatory.
My suspicion re: the advent of RealID was a way of telling the actual American citizens from those who had fake IDs, fake SS#s, and real drivers’ licenses but who are illegal aliens. A government that wants illegals to vote in elections will not want to make that distinction at the polls...
