Operational analysis of Russia's offensive towards Pokrovsk. The entire Southern Donbas Front is at risk of falling into enemy hands. Urgent Ukrainian reinforcements are needed.
For voters there are effectively only two positions/stances allowed -- we either support aid for Ukraine, or we don't.
Sure, leaders like a Donald Trump or Slow Biden, they may have many shades and variations they can propose and make happen, but for average citizens, it comes down to "yes" or "no".
Among US voters, according to polls:
Obviously, that depends on anybody's definitions of the term, "rock solid conservative".
According to Heritage even the most "centrist" House Republican Congressman is more conservative than the most "conservative" Democrat.
So, who is "rock solid conservative"?
Depends on your definitions, but all real Republicans are more "rock solid" than any Democrat.
Worldtraveler once upon a time to Petrosius: "Currently the Biden-Harris administration and Europeans like the German coalition and the Polish administration have stated outright that there is precious little more in war material to pump into this officially non-NATO war. "
But NATO has officially sided with Ukraine in its war against Russian invasion.
See my post here for NATO declarations
NATO's problem is that some countries have already contributed more than their "fair share" to Ukraine, while others have fallen far behind.
Here is a listing of NATO contributions to Ukraine, as percentages of each country's GDP:
Worldtraveler once upon a time to Petrosius: "And the US debt climbs by a trillion every three months.
So your "it's only a small percentage" argument is rather like spitting into the wind.
Doesn't work out well."
The US national debt is almost 100% a function of Democrats' insanities, nothing else.
The problem will begin to end when those insanities are eliminated from Federal government.
In the meantime... Solid Conservative Republican Pres. Reagan won the Cold War against the old Soviet Union (and KGB Lt.Col. Vladimir Putin) by increasing US defense spending to 6% of GDP.
Today we spend barely half that much and people wonder why we seem so incapable militarily these days.
It's no mystery -- if you want Peace Through Strength, such as Pres. Reagan achieved, first, first, first, you need military strength.
Everything else comes second.
"Vote Trump to disrupt the deep state and Democrats." Care to argue with that?
USA-FRANCE #257: "Thus, kiryandil is posting miles-long posts himself..."
kiryandil #258: "It's an image."
bimboeruption #259: "Zeepers are sooooo sensitive."
bimboeruption #260: "Their tiny, pea-sized, zeeper brains can’t grasp that fact.
All they understand is yours is longer.
They’ve got post envy."
"Please: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts."
Of course, I agree.
We are supposed to be all on the same team here, though some don't quite understand that.
Many here seem to assume that Pres. Trump will just roll-over and give Vlad the Invader "whatever the h*ll he wants".
I think those folks will be very disappointed.
As for Ukraine's fait -- I don't know, but I worry that it may all come down to the reality behind one name:
Alexander Vindman
Vote Trump to disrupt the deep state and Democrats.
Given the fact that Stalin starved around 3 million Ukrainians to death in the 1930s, they probably thought that the enemy of their enemy MIGHT? be their friend. Unfortunately, in 1941, the bad word on German Nazi behavior was not yet common knowledge. Unfortunately the Ukrainians soon learned they were in bed with another devil.
