PING!
I know nothing about publishing on youtube but if a video in your channel is showing unskippable ads, should that be helping your monetization revenue?
I’ve noticed several conservative channels I visit have several 15-second ads that I can’t skip. This is something new.
No problem for me. No ads.
He needs a better ad blocker.
this happened on my dama fire tablet.
Try this : dont use a app
#2 find & use duckduckgo/ mozilla firefox.
Search for youtube on one of those &
Sign in
it worked for me those ads were maddening
I watch YouTube on Roku, and I’ve noticed this occasionally for months; but I’ve seen it on all kinds of YT sites, not just political ones.
I skip them ..ignoring them.. by doing something else.
Support Big Bro... er.. Tech! They are your friends.
No. It means they LOSE viewers. Would you wait FIVE MINUTES thru an UNSKIPPABLE ad to see a video as happened with The Quartering? And many viewers will bail out rather than wait for over a minute of an UNSKIPPABLE ad to watch other videos.
I had to skip through 2 ads before I saw the video on unstoppable ads.
The guy started out rambling. I saw it would go on for 15 minutes. I clicked it off.
Naturally you aren’t gonna see the truth on YouTube. I like X.
I finally broke down and bought the YouTube Premium package. For a family of 4. $22.95 a month.
NO ADS.
Worth it
I’ve had unskippable ads on music videos, but they typically only last 5 to 15 seconds. If these disgusting leftists spent half the energy actually considering the info on these channels that they did thinking of sneaky ways to suppress them, the nation would be better off.
I’ve had 15-second unskippable ads with music videos I’ve watched on Youtube. Here, conservative videos are beginning with ads ranging from 1 to 5 minutes that you can’t skip.
Content creators can request YT to allow/not allow skips on certain types of ads. Recently many YT creators were complaining revenue was being cut on the other side advertisers were complaining of paying for ads that were basically never seen. I believe both parties now want at least 10 seconds.
The only ads I have seen that you cannot seem to skip have been from the Harris or Sherrod Brown campaigns.
My rationale: I want the people putting out the ad to waste their money. If the revenue goes to a conservative video producer, all the better.
Use Brave as a browser, no ads :)
Not positive, but as far as I know the publisher determines whether or not the ad is skipable.
Paying them is FUNDING EVIL
You are enabling them to perform this censorship.
How do you even know if they are censoring ‘your’ paid searches ??
Which ad blocker are you using?
