President Trump is going for the jugular in his race against Kamala Harris, calling in the person who played a crucial role in ruining her 2020 campaign.
The New York Times reported Friday that Trump has brought in former Hawaii Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard as he begins preparation for his debate showdown with Harris next month in Philadelphia.
As the Times notes, Gabbard will provide valuable brings some critical qualities as a debate advisor to Trump. For example, she has policy experience as a former member of Congress and is a female when Trump is facing his second woman as his general election challenger. Fair or unfair, a man going after a woman during a debate is looked at differently by the public than when another male is involved.
Most importantly, Gabbard has faced Harris in a debate and proved incredibly successful. During a July 2019 Democratic Presidential debate on CNN, she destroyed Harris’s garbage record as California Attorney General and San Francisco District Attorney.

Trump needs to be able to pick apart Harris’ price control plan attacking “corporate greed” because that idea makes sense to a lot of people unfortunately. However, it requires some homework to do it right (not much) and memorizing a few statistics.
First of all, the idea that “corporate greed” is causing inflation makes absolutely no sense, because inflation was consistently low under Trump. I believe it was under 2% every single year. We could ask whether Harris is actually claiming that corporations suddenly got greedy when Biden became President. That question destroys her whole argument.
To summarize, the way to destroy Harris on this is the following:
Step 1: Point out what the actual inflation numbers were in his Presidency (under 2% every single year) and was 1% when Biden took office.
Step 2: Point out that it exploded to 9% after Biden’s huge spending known at the Inflation Reduction Act and that was what caused it.
Step 3: Point out that the “corporate greed” explanation therefore makes no sense.
Step 4: Say that Harris is using corporations as the scapegoat for the fact that Biden-Harris caused the inflation.
Trump could maybe add in another point, i.e. that Harris will have more enormous spending and light another fire under inflation.
But to make that argument he has to memorize a few numbers and actually have a well prepared, memorized argument. Trump simply never does that for some strange reason. Everything seems to be off the top of his head.
I believe that Biden actually scored points against Trump in their debate but his obvious brain freezes were what lost him the debate. If he hadn’t had those episodes he might have been judged the winner of the debate. Harris won’t have those episodes obviously.
heck have her go to Hawaii. They are still ticked off at the fire that took out the town.
I can hear Trump say in the debate, “Tulsi told me that you would say that!”
Presupposes a fair election.
True. And working for Trump's campaign is her apprenticeship. If she does good, she gets a permanent job in the administration.
She can get Mayor Pete's current job.
If Trump wants to really rattle Kamala, he should observe some of her behavior, such as finger pointing or her giggles, and point it out. Even the lack of giggles, as Kamala is going through a lot of behavior modification training right now to make her palatable to the public.
When you point out the behavior mannerisms to an insecure person, it destroys them by turning their focus internal rather than external and distracts their logical thought processes.
This is a trick used by hypnotists to shift the consciousness of difficult subjects.
Affordable cars run on gasoline.
Trump will keep the gasoline pumps working so you can keep working.
“Most men know that when a woman points her finger, it is not good.”

Same goes for when they say, “I’ve been thinking” or “I have an idea.” Dangerous statements, the least dangerous part of which is the expense.
I always thought it was a mistake for Trump to debate Biden before he was locked in as the Dem candidate. Now Trump has to run against someone entirely different who will spend the relatively short time before the election playing hide and seek. More or less like running from a virtual basement.
I’m not saying give her the keys to the whole barn. But she is an excellent contemporaneous speaker, especially when calling out nonsense like that which Que-mala espouses. Yeah, she was a Dem.....and now an Independent. It takes a while to go from full Dem to Rep....maybe the conservative independent step is appropriate.
The thing I’m looking for clear, rational thinking - and loyalty. To the people, not the party. And I believe she could make that mark. I’ve only seen one other Democrat tell the truth and that was Zell Miller.
Whether she gets a job in the Trump Administration right now, I don’t know. I think it’s enough of a help out to get Trump prepped to slaughter Que-mala in a debate.

We must hang out at different bars.
I’ll say it, if Trump had picked Gabbard for VP, it would have been a slam dunk.
Trump needs to stick with facts and policy, and steer clear of bullying, name-calling and her race. The latter factors will only lose him votes.
Now if she brings up her race to criticize him, he should say that “I really don’t care what your race is, Kamala, the only reason that I raised the issue in the first place is because for a while you claimed to be the first Indian-American Senator (which is just fine by itself), and lately you’ve claimed that your Black (and there’s also nothing wrong with that). This issue isn’t about your race or ethnicity, it’s about your character. Personally, I don’t think that race or ethnicity should matter in ANY job, and I hired people without regard to those irrelevant factors. I look at merit, you and many of your backers think that irrelevant characteristics that no one chooses should be important - and they aren’t, they should be thrown on to the trash heap of History.”
It’s a big bar.
She is probably one of the handful of liberals that I respect
I predict Harris’s plan will be to call Trump “sexist”, “misogynist”, “racist”, etc. every chance she gets, and to promise an avalanche of “free” stuff to the dimwits out there while slamming Trump as “heartless” and “only caring about the rich” when he explains why “free stuff” will actually be harmful. In other words, a typical democrat debate strategy with the added dimension of trying to use her gender and ethnicity (whatever the heck it is) as shields against criticism. That last part is where Tulsi can help prepare Trump the most.
I’m wondering how in the world the team preparing Harris can contrive some kind of list of accomplishments for her to cite. You know they realize that’s her biggest weakness, so they have to address it, but it will be tough because she hasn’t done anything of any substance. Trump should ask her to cite one thing she has accomplished as Vice President, and that should be an easy layup, but they will have thought of some BS for her to spout when that question comes.
Trump has to bring up if Harris is such a great prosecutor, how come she did not prosecute clergymen who raped young boys..she chose not to go after them, but she imprisoned 1900 young black men for weed possession, so gee whats worse, smoking weed or raping young boys..so yes Trump needs to bring that up..shove it back in her disgusting face
