On July 26th (17 days ago) Barack Obama gave a scripted, staged endorsement to Kamala Harris
WASHINGTON — Oh, the cringe.And thenVice President Kamala Harris scored the endorsement of Barack and Michelle Obama on Friday, with her campaign posting a video of Harris pressing an iPhone to her ear — despite her cellphone’s display indicating that she was on speaker phone with the former first couple.
Harris feigned surprise in the clip — shot using multiple camera angles, indicating elaborate preparation.
“Kamala!” the 44th president greeted Harris, 59, as an aide to the vice president passed her the phone mid-stride.
“Hello? Hi!” Harris gasped.
“Hey there!” Michelle began.
“Aww, hi, you’re both together! Oh it’s good to hear you both,” the vice president swooned.
“I can’t have this phone call without saying to my girl, Kamala, I am proud of you."My girl" indeed.
Then something happened that caught my attention. Ten days ago, Obama took ownership of the Harris campaign.

Harris on Friday secured the Democratic presidential nomination, weeks before the Democratic National Convention in Chicago begins on Aug. 19.
The vice president’s campaign, now in full swing, will include the members of President Biden’s suspended re-election campaign and a number of experienced Democratic operatives who will aid in her effort to beat former President Trump in November.
Former speaker Kevin McCarthy also realized what is going on.
“If you’re watching the campaign now, some of Obama’s [key people such as] David Plouffe and others are now working on the campaign,” McCarthy said on 770 WABC’s “The Cats Roundtable.”Obama has taken over not only Harris' campaign, but her feeble brain as well.“You’re getting the Obamas shifting from running the White House to now running this campaign.”
He saw what the rest of us saw, so nicely phrased today by Marc Thiessen - teleprompters have become Harris' reading glasses and without them she speaks in only one food - word salad. This panicked Obama into action and he sent his team to take over.
This says a lot.
It is a confirmation that Harris is helpless on her own. It is confirmation that Harris is "his girl."
