The case stems from the Department of Justice's allegation that Trump should not have held onto some classified documents after leaving office.

They want it both ways: They want to force Trump to take possession of classified documents, implicitly admitting he owns them, then they want to prosecute him for possessing the very documents they forced him to take possession of and implicitly admitted he owned.

Those boxes were packed and shipped while Trump was still President. I'm still trying to figure out how "someone" knew there were classified documents in the scramble...but no one else knew...not Trump...not the packers...not the movers...

The concern to me would be....making sure all the boxes arrived at Mar A Lago.

This is really smart on the part of the Trump legal team.

This bogus case is going to be bounced eventually for any one of a number of reasons, but the Trump prosecutions have become the 2020 Supreme Court Abortion Decision for then 2024 election.

It inflames and motivates the Anti Trump zealots who seem to have invested their emotional lives to the issue.

Best to just put things on hold.
